Celebrate Dad by Spending Father’s Day at Walt Disney World

If you are looking for a great way to celebrate the dads in your life, then you should definitely check out the great options at Walt Disney World.  There are so many great things for dad and we have a rundown of some of the highlights for you, thanks to Walt Disney World News.  You will definitely want to check these out and start planning!

Dining with Dad

There are a variety of dining options around Walt Disney World.  There will be select dining locations that will have special Father’s Day offerings:

  • At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Flame Tree Barbecue will offer a limited-time Dad’s Platter with brisket, pulled pork, chicken and ribs. Restaurantosaurus will offer a “burger and brew” combo featuring a jalapeño popper burger. And a Father’s Day cupcake will be available at select locations around the theme park.
  • A prix fixe menu will be offered at Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot, featuring a grilled 10-ounce top sirloin steak, a grilled shrimp skewer and loaded mashed potatoes, as well as choice of appetizer and dessert.
  • Jiko at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will offer a Father’s Day prix fixe menu that includes oak-grilled, bone-in ribeye and fire-roasted bone marrow as well as an optional wine pairing.
  • Special offerings will also be available at Flying Fish at Disney’s BoardWalk Entertainment District and Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Theme Park Thrills

If dad loves thrill rides, then you definitely want to check out some of the amazing rides.  Epcot has Test Track, where you get to design your own car and then take it out for a ride. Dad won’t want to miss Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom where he can race through the Himalayan peaks and possibly encounter a massive Yeti. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, offering amazing rides!  Magic Kingdom Park is the home to classic attractions with a variety of different themes.

Sports and Outdoor Adventures

If Dad is into sports and outdoor fun, there are a lot of great options at Walt Disney World.  There are tee times available at one of the four champion golf courses for the golfer in your life.  If Dad loves to fish, he can go out on a guided fishing excursion or even fish from the dock.  Dad can also rent a personal watercraft to check out the Walt Disney World waterways or go out on a kayak to explore.
