Trader Sam’s In WDW Opening Date Announced!

Trader Sam’s To Open March 26th?

That’s what everyone is tweeting and posting! We are still trying to confirm officially, but this one seems to be the real deal.

Trader Sam’s will be located in at Disney’s Polynesian Resort on the monorail line directly across from Disney’s Magic Kingdom park.  It as was built right next to Captain Cook’s where the old arcade was.

The lounge will serve both food and beverages, along with specialty cocktails and small bites and will be open daily from 4pm to midnight. However, starting at 8pm each night the lounge will be restricted to adults 21 and older.

Quoting from the Disney Parks Blog:

Trader Sam has a few new tricks up his sleeve—and no, it’s not two of his heads for one of yours—his “head” beverage crafter is concocting new handcrafted cocktails made with authentic premium ingredients in souvenir drink vessels.

You’ll feel like beach-combin’ royalty sipping on a Castaway Crush—the tastiest drink this side of wicky-wacky Waikiki. Indulge in the hidden treasures of the Polynesian Pearl or, for a whale-of-a-tale, be sure to try the Nautilus. Other new libations include the Dark & Tropical Stormy (no need to batten down the hatches) and the Tahitian Torch.

Be sure to keep a seafaring eye out for favorites imported from Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Resort such as the Shrunken Zombie Head, Uh-Oa!, Krakatoa Punch, and many more.

Bites to eat include pork tacos, sushi roll, chicken lettuce cups, fried Portuguese sausage bites, dumplings with sesame soy dipping sauce, and tuna poke.

There is seating both indoors and outdoors on a patio. Indoor seating limited to 50 guests.  Outside on the patio there is seating for 80 guests.
