Brand New Construction Update and Pictures of Disney Springs

Construction on future “Disney Springs” is making a visit to Downtown Disney extremely difficult!

Parking is very limited and located a fair distance from most of the shops and restaurants. Construction walls make for narrow paths that get congested at times. Even the entrances to some eateries have been relocated.

The best advice we can give to visitors is to come early in the day. If you must visit at night, take advantage of the valet parking located beside Cirque du Soleil. It costs $20 per car, but it might be the best money you have spent on your vacation.

Parking attendants will give you a stub with a phone number that you can text your ticket number to when you are ready to leave, and your car will be waiting when you return.

Parking is also free with a “Table in Wonderland” discount receipt from any of the participating restaurants.

The new Starbucks is of course open as are the Wetzel’s Pretzels and Hagen daz kiosks.

In short, it’s a hot mess down there, but its still a lot of fun. When construction is complete, there is no doubt it will have all been worth it.

Below are aerial photos sent to us by Mitchell Botwin taken from the Characters in Flight Balloon located on the West Side.
