Blizzard Beach Closing a Few Days Due to Cold Weather Headed for Walt Disney World

Blizzard Beach water park is expected to close on Friday 1/27/17 – Monday 1/30/17 in order to prepare for cold weather that is expected to hit central Florida.  Typhoon Lagoon is already closed for a long refurbishment, so it is not impacted.  Disney closes their water parks when temperatures drop too low in order to ensure guest safety as  well as prevent loss of operational costs from opening and the crowd level staying low.

Disney water parks are unlike any other water parks.  They are each perfectly themed and designed to transport you to a tropical oasis after a shipwreck at Typhoon Lagoon and a tropical oasis after a blizzard at Blizzard Beach.  They are filled with amazing attractions and slides that offer you a day full of thrills and excitement.  You should definitely plan a visit to one or both of the water parks during your next trip.
