Big News! Tickets Are Now on Sale for Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween Horror Nights 35 tickets went on sale Thursday morning, but a technical error prevented fans from purchasing August and September dates. Thankfully, the technical issue has been resolved as of the writing of this article. As fans wait in the online ticket queue, expect certain issues to arise.

The Problem

Tickets and tours launched early Thursday, March 26. By 9:00 a.m., single-night tickets for August and September were unavailable.

This is certainly a technical glitch rather than a sellout:

  • Too many dates disappeared too quickly
  • Universal has history of buggy ticket releases
  • Tickets should reappear once the issue is fixed

Update: We checked again at 10 a.m., and it appears the issues have been resolved. Be on the lookout, as glitches can continue to occur throughout the day.

Ticket Pricing

Single-Night Tickets: Start at $88 (roughly $6 increase from last year). Pricing varies by date with higher demand nights costing more.

NEW: Scream Early Ticket Add-On ($70): Add Universal Studios Florida admission after 2:00 PM to your same-day HHN ticket. Includes:

  • Early access to at least three haunted houses starting at 2:00 p.m.
  • Time to enjoy other attractions through regular daytime closing

This addresses fan requests for earlier haunted house access before evening crowds build.

Express Pass Add-On: Starts at $169.99 per person ($30 increase from last year). Allows guests to use dedicated line and skip standby queue.

Important: Express doesn’t guarantee front-of-line access, but typically reduces wait times to about half the posted standby time. Can be used once per haunted house and attraction.

Premium Experiences

Premium Scream Night ($400): Available August 27 or October 19. Includes:

  • Haunted houses with shorter wait times
  • All-you-care-to-enjoy select food and non-alcoholic beverages

Character Returns To Halloween Horror Nights

Fan-favorite original characters Jack The Clown and Dr. Oddfellow are returning to “wreak havoc together.”

Event merchandise is already available online for early purchasers.

What This Means for Ticket Buyers

If you’re planning to attend in August or September:

  • Check back regularly as Universal fixes the technical issue
  • These dates will likely become available again soon
  • Don’t panic, this appears to be a system glitch that continues to get worked on

If you’re attending in October or November:

  • Tickets for these months appear to be available
  • Purchase now if you have firm dates

The Halloween Horror Nights Ticket Release Pattern

Universal has experienced similar technical issues during previous Halloween Horror Nights ticket launches. These glitches typically resolve within hours to days as the company identifies and fixes backend problems.

The August and September unavailability affecting nearly half the event’s dates is too widespread to represent genuine sellout, especially given tickets just went on sale hours ago.

Next Steps For Halloween Horror Nights

Universal hasn’t issued official statement about the ticketing issue, but fans should:

  • Monitor Universal’s social media for updates
  • Check the ticketing website periodically
  • Be ready to purchase when August/September dates reappear

Despite the disappointing technical error, Halloween Horror Nights 35 offers exciting new options, including the Scream Early add-on and the earliest start date in event history.
