Be Our Guest Children’s Menu

The Disney Parks blog reported new information and details about the kids menu at the Be Our Guest Restaurant.

Their plan it seems is to make the kids feel like grown-ups but with fun and healthy choices.

“We’re making the ketchup from scratch using carrots,” said Walt Disney World Executive Chef Lenny DeGeorge. “And the meatloaf also has vegetables and bulghur wheat, so kids are getting their vegetables and whole grains and don’t even realize it.”

Choices range from a carved turkey sandwich to turkey meatloaf shaped like Mickey Mouse.  Sides include sweet potato wedges instead of fries and peach applesauce. There’s also roasted pulled pork with sautéed green beans and sweet potato mash.  There is also whole-grain macaroni with marinara and mozzarella, and even mild-flavored mahi-mahi.  (Don’t worry, french fries remain an optional staple.)

Steak for dinner?  No problem and it is served with fresh vegetables.

Stay tuned for the dessert announcements.
