Banshee Connect Experience Coming to Pandora at Walt Disney World

Disney has released more details on the Banshee Connect Experience that is expected to be part of the opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World.  The new land is opening in May and is expected to be extremely popular.  This new experience is an extremely unique experience for Walt Disney World and we can’t wait to see it in person.

The picture used for the heading was released on the Disney website where you can see banshees perched on branches.  The way the experience is supposed to work is that the guest will venture into the area where the banshees are and then a banshee is selected to match to a specific guest and can be purchased to go home with them.  It seems like a really neat souvenir.  We expect that it will be extremely popular, and can’t wait to see it in action.

We previously reported that the new land, Pandora: World of Avatar, is expected to open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World on May 27th.  Since then there have commercials released featuring this new land and reports of a new bus loop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  We are now learning more information about other important things within this new themed land.  These new details include important information like height requirements and if  FastPass+ will be offered, as well as dining and drink offerings that we can expect while in Pandora.

Here is a rundown of the attractions in the land and what we have learned:

• Avatar Flight of Passage
  • Disney Ride Description:  “Get a banshee’s-eye view of the beauty and grandeur of Pandora on a rite of passage you won’t soon forget!Deep in the heart of the Valley of Mo’ara, discover Avatar Flight of Passage—an all-new expedition that lets interstellar explorers like you climb atop a mountain banshee for a breathtaking, first-person flight over the moon’s incredible landscape.Bonding with a mountain banshee is a crucial step in the life of a Na’vi hunter—and flying on the back of one of these powerful winged creatures represents an important rite of passage.”
  • Height Requirement:  44 inches
  • FastPass+ Option:  Yes

• Navi River Journey
  • Disney Ride Description:  “Glide down a gentle, mysterious river and feel a sense of wonder as the full beauty of Pandora reveals itself. Located within the Valley of Mo’ara, Na’vi River Journey offers explorers an experience that has to be seen—and heard—to be believed!”
  • Height Requirement:  None
  • FastPass+ Option:  Yes
  • Age Interest:  All Ages

There was also information released on Disney’s website about the food and beverage locations in Pandora: World of Avatar.  Here is what we know about the locations:

• Satu’li Canteen:

We can’t wait to experience these new attractions and amazing food offerings in the middle of a new perfectly themed land.  We have no doubt that Disney has outdone themselves with this one.  This will be the closest experience we can possibly get to actually experiencing Pandora!
