Banned Disney Superfan Back at Resort in Major Surprise

John Stamos is stepping back into the spotlight at Walt Disney World Resort as the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival approaches its finale. Guests visiting November 16 and 17 will find an extra surprise onstage at the America Gardens Theatre, where Stamos will appear with The Beach Boys for the Eat to the Beat Concert Series.

While the festival has been running since August 28, the closing weeks have brought added attention thanks to this new appearance. The Eat to the Beat lineup has featured returning names like MercyMe, Boyz II Men, and Joey Fatone & Friends, along with a new set of headliners led by The Beach Boys. Shows have highlighted both local performers and national acts. Stamos confirmed his participation through social media, with outlets such as Kenny the Pirate noting: “John Stamos will join The Beach Boys at EPCOT on November 16th and 17th.”

Crowds are expected to grow, as entry to the concerts remains first-come, first-served with no extra ticket required. Guests seeking a guaranteed seat can still book a Festival Concert Series Dining Package for reserved viewing.

Stamos’s appearance takes place years after a different chapter in his Disney history resurfaced. In his 2023 memoir, “If You Would Have Told Me,” he revisits a well-known story involving a ban from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

The incident occurred after a promotional shoot for The Beach Boys’ “Kokomo.” A post-shoot celebration at the resort’s Jacuzzi escalated once Stamos departed. He later learned that when he tried to book rooms at the Grand Floridian, the staff repeatedly told him none were available due to the aftermath of that party—abandoned bikinis and broken champagne bottles left behind.

Stamos wrote, “Apparently, after the ‘Kokomo’ shoot, while I was on The Beach Boys’ private jet on the way to the next gig, the bikini babes continued partying and not only left their bikinis at the bottom of the Jacuzzi, but also a bunch of broken champagne bottles as well.” Once he clarified he wasn’t present for the damage, the resort welcomed him back.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his… More »
