Annual Passholders-Do You Have Your Magic Bands Yet? If Not, Read This!
Have you created an account on the MyDisneyExperience part of the Disney.go website or the Smartphone app? If not, that is the first step. Add your Annual Pass ticket information to your account along with everyone else in your family. Once you have done this look for a link to MagicBands & Cards.
You need to look for a link to MagicBands. See the first photo below to see what that looks like. Today when I checked the site I had the link I have been looking for. It shows as a MagicBand Order and Affiliation is listed as “Disney Passholder”. To the right of that is a blue link that says “Add Shipping Address”. Click on the link and fill in your shipping information for where you want the MagicBands shipped to. Then you will be led to the next screen when you hit ENTER for the address.
The next screen looks like the next photo below. There will be an icon, to the right of that the name of a person in your family, and rows of these for however many family members you added to your account. Then to the right of the names is a graphic of a MagicBand and followed with “Ready to Customize” then all the way to the right a link button that reads “Customize”. Click on the link attached to your name.
This next screen will show a graphic of a MagicBand enlarged and your first name next to it. There is an arrow you can click on to see the back of the band. Below this are seven colors that you need to select the color of your band from. (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Gray, Orange, and Pink.) After you select the color you will be asked to enter the name you want imprinted on your MagicBand. You can use up to nine characters, numbers, or spaces. Once you enter that, hit “Done”.
When you have done this for all the members of your family you will see a page that says “All your MagicBands are customized” you will also see your Shipping Address and a link that says “Mail all MagicBands now”. A pop-up window appears with “Ship MagicBands now? Once you select “Ship Now” you will no longer be able to update your MagicBands preferences. Annual Passholder orders will begin shipping in mid-March” and you can select either “Not Now” or “Ship Now”. If you select “Ship Now” the page will show Your Orders and the Quantity of MagicBands ordered and a message “Your MagicBands are being customized and will ship soon. Annual Passholder orders will begin shipping in mid-March.”
If you do not see any links like this after you sign into My Disney Experience, just keep checking back each day. If you were not able to find this link by the last week of March you can always contact Disney via the phone number on the Passholder site or stop in at Guest Relations if you live locally.
