After Viral Crowds Took Over This Disney Location, Something New Has Arrived

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has always leaned heavily into its movie-making identity. From attractions inspired by classic films to behind-the-scenes exhibits, the park constantly reminds guests that they are stepping into the world of cinema. One of the places where that connection shows up most clearly is inside Walt Disney Presents.

The walk-through attraction functions partly as a museum and partly as a rotating exhibit space. Guests exploring the building can learn about Walt Disney’s life and creative legacy while also discovering temporary displays tied to movies, Disney+ projects, or major entertainment milestones.

Right now, visitors have something new to check out.

A limited-time Oscars display has quietly appeared inside Walt Disney Presents, and it includes items from some surprisingly recognizable films.

A New Display Celebrating Award-Winning Films

The exhibit celebrates Disney’s long relationship with the Academy Awards. Over the decades, Disney productions have collected an enormous number of Oscars across animation, visual effects, music, and costume design. Walt Disney himself still holds the record for the most Academy Awards won by a single individual.

To highlight that legacy, the new display brings together film artifacts tied to award-winning productions.

Guests can view an authentic Oscar statuette originally awarded to the film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954), which won recognition for its groundbreaking special effects.

But the items drawing the most attention are the costumes.

Costumes From Titanic (1997) and Cruella (2021)

Among the most recognizable pieces on display is a costume from Titanic (1997). Visitors can see Rose’s boarding outfit from the famous opening scenes when the character first arrives on the doomed ship.

Seeing the piece in person offers a fascinating perspective on the craftsmanship that helped bring the film to life. The wardrobe team created an enormous number of period-accurate costumes for the production, which eventually earned the film an Academy Award for its costume design.

 (2021).

Fashion played a major role in that film’s storytelling, and the dramatic costumes quickly became one of the movie’s defining elements. The wardrobe ultimately earned the Academy Award for Best Costume Design, and guests can now view one of those elaborate outfits up close.

The contrast between the elegant period clothing of Titanic (1997) and the bold punk-inspired fashion of Cruella (2021) creates a fascinating look at how costume design has evolved over the decades.

A Space That Recently Became Unexpectedly Popular

Interestingly, Walt Disney Presents has recently experienced a rare surge in popularity.

During the 2025 holiday season, the same location hosted a temporary display featuring costumes from Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. What normally functions as a quiet museum suddenly became one of the busiest spots in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Fans lined up throughout the building just to see the outfits. The demand grew so large that Disney even adjusted operations and allowed the attraction to open earlier than usual so resort guests could view the exhibit before the park officially opened.

That type of response is almost unheard of for a walk-through gallery.

It raised an interesting question that Disney fans are now asking again.

Could another exhibit spark that kind of interest?

Will the Oscars Exhibit Bring Guests Back?

The new Oscars display certainly offers something unique. Film lovers will appreciate seeing pieces connected to major movies, and the combination of artifacts from different eras of filmmaking makes the exhibit feel like a mini history lesson.

However, recreating the buzz of the Taylor Swift display may be difficult. The Swift exhibit tapped into a massive global fanbase that traveled specifically to see those costumes.

Still, Disney knows that storytelling is what keeps guests exploring the parks.

And sometimes, a quiet corner of the park ends up delivering one of the most interesting surprises.

For guests walking through Walt Disney Presents right now, that surprise might just be a piece of film history sitting behind glass.
