Dining reservations are often one of the most important parts of planning a Walt Disney World vacation. While attractions usually get most of the attention, many guests quickly discover that Disney’s restaurants are experiences of their own. Some visitors even build entire park days around a single meal reservation.

One restaurant that has drawn a lot of attention since opening is The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk. The elegant dining location replaced the former ESPN Club space and has quickly become one of the most recognizable restaurants in the area. With its pastel decor, elaborate desserts, and upscale menu, it feels very different from many other dining spots around the resort.
Now Disney guests have another reason to consider visiting. The restaurant has announced extended hours for its breakfast service, giving visitors a little more flexibility when planning their morning.
Breakfast Service Now Lasts Longer
Previously, breakfast at The Cake Bake Shop was served from 7:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., with lunch beginning shortly afterward. That schedule worked well for early risers, but it could be difficult for guests who preferred a slower morning.
Beginning March 11, 2026, breakfast service will continue until 11:30 a.m., extending the morning dining window by a full hour.

That extra time may not seem like much at first, but it can make a big difference for vacation schedules. Disney days often start early, especially for guests trying to rope drop attractions in EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. After an early start, some visitors may want to return to the BoardWalk area for a more relaxed late breakfast.
The new hours give guests that option.
Holiday Brunch Is Also Returning
The extended schedule doesn’t stop with daily breakfast service. Special brunch hours will also be available during select holiday weekends.
For both Easter and Mother’s Day, The Cake Bake Shop will offer brunch from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Holiday brunch has become a popular tradition at Walt Disney World, particularly for families celebrating special occasions during their vacation. With its elaborate desserts, elegant presentation, and relaxed atmosphere, The Cake Bake Shop is expected to become a popular spot for those celebrations.
How to Reserve a Table
Guests interested in visiting the restaurant have multiple ways to secure a reservation.
The most common method is using Disney’s Advanced Dining Reservation system through the My Disney Experience app or the Walt Disney World website. Reservations typically open 60 days before a visit.

Another option is booking directly through OpenTable, which the restaurant also supports.
Because of its popularity, reservations can disappear quickly during peak travel seasons. Guests hoping to experience breakfast or brunch here may want to check availability early.
Dining Continues to Grow at Disney World
The growing popularity of locations like The Cake Bake Shop reflects how much Disney dining has evolved over the years. Today, restaurants across Walt Disney World range from casual quick-service spots to elaborate themed experiences and fine dining venues.
In areas like the BoardWalk, guests can even enjoy an entire evening exploring restaurants, bakeries, lounges, and waterfront views without stepping inside a theme park.

With breakfast hours now extended, The Cake Bake Shop becomes an even more convenient option for guests staying nearby or planning a relaxing morning before heading into the parks.
For visitors looking to slow down and enjoy a meal during their vacation, the extra hour might be just what they need.
