After Months of Uncertainty, Starbucks Confirms Status at Disney World
After months of waiting, the uncertainty surrounding Starbucks’ presence at Walt Disney World Resort has been cleared up. The coffee giant has confirmed that one of its largest locations at Disney Springs has officially reopened, signaling its continued partnership with the resort. Guests can now enjoy a freshly renovated Starbucks experience after the location’s lengthy closure for remodeling.
In February 2025, Walt Disney World Resort and Starbucks jointly announced that the Starbucks location on the West Side of Disney Springs would temporarily close for a significant renovation. The closure, which began in March 2025, was described by Starbucks as a “long time coming.” The company projected that the renovation would take until June, but that timeline quickly passed with no reopening in sight.
While the Marketplace location remained open and busy, Disney Springs guests were left without the air-conditioned, indoor Starbucks on the West Side. The construction walls were finally removed earlier this month, but there was still no word about a grand reopening.

Fast forward to August 25, and the wait is finally over. The construction walls have been removed, and Starbucks at Disney Springs is back in action. The store‘s exterior appears largely the same as before, but there are clear signs of a refresh, including a fresh coat of paint. Inside, guests are now greeted with a stunning wrap-around mural that transports them to a tropical oasis with wildlife like tigers and hummingbirds.
According to WDWMagic, the new queue area is intended to improve crowd flow—an essential upgrade given that this Starbucks location is one of the busiest on Walt Disney World Resort property. There’s also more space inside, with tables and chairs spread out, allowing for better movement throughout the store. Guests can also enjoy outdoor seating that overlooks the water at Disney Springs, making it a perfect place to relax and sip their coffee.
The West Side Starbucks is now open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and offers Mobile Ordering through the Starbucks app. Guests can easily pick up their coffee at a dedicated pick-up spot inside the store.
Beyond Disney Springs, there are several other Starbucks locations around Walt Disney World Resort. These include the Main Street Bakery at Magic Kingdom Park, Creature Comforts at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Trolley Car Café at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Connections Café at EPCOT. Starbucks also collaborates with Disney to offer exclusive merchandise like mugs, tumblers, and holiday ornaments.
