MagicBand Sales Set To Expand!
Weeks ago Disney began selling magic bands at a few select locations that did not have the previous restriction of having to be connected to a theme park ticket at the time of sale.
According to WDWMagic, they are now expanding this to include other locations including most Walt Disney World locations.
They sale of the bands is now also moving off-site, including the Disney stores at Orlando International Airport, Hotel Plaza Blvd hotels, and the Outlet Malls.
This option still does not apply to the limited edition specialty MagicBands. It only applies to the solid colored MagicBands.
This means, you can now buy the bands as gifts and for future trips without linking the bands at the time of purchase.
It is a little puzzling to us why this policy would not apply to the limited edition bands. Those would seem to be the bands people would most want to buy as a gift. Perhaps the offer will be extended to those at a later date?
