We get excited with any look we can get at Toy Story Land as we anxiously await the official opening coming on June 30th. This new land is set to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios within Walt Disney World. Disney Parks Blog released a special look at the first night that the project team for the new land tested the nighttime audio and lighting effects. You have to check out this video below!
When nighttime hits at Toy Story Land, there will be a lot of great lighting, music and special effects that will keep the fun rolling into the evening in “Andy’s backyard.”
According to Imagineer Ryan Wineinger, the first time that Toy Story Land was lit up at night, it was amazing to the crew. “When you’re collaborating with Show Lighting and Pixar and composers, you think you understand just how dynamic it’s going to be when it comes together,” Ryan said. “But frankly nothing can really prepare you for the moment when you see all of that come together in harmony like it has tonight.”
According to Imagineer Dave Miniciello, the attractions in the darkness will allow guest to experience them in a different way. “Riding Slinky Dog for the first time and riding tonight with the lighting and special effects and audio was so exciting,” Dave said. “After so many years of developing the different pieces, seeing it here in Toy Story Land all together with the Pixar team has been monumental for us.”
Do you think you will enjoy Toy Story Land more at night or during the day?
