The 2018 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Is Underway at Walt Disney World!
The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival began its run for 2018 on August 30, and it will run daily until November 12. It is included with park admission, but some events require an extra fee.
This year there are over 30 Global Marketplaces. These themed kiosks give you a chance to enjoy small portions of foods from around the world that are not normally found at Epcot. Vegetarian, gluten free, and kid friendly items are marked on the menus. Most items cost one snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan.
One of the highlights of the festival each year is the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. There are three shows nightly, and they are included with your park admission. Acts for 2018 include returning favorites Hanson, Boys II Men, and Smash Mouth, as well as newcomers such as Tauren Wells, MercyMe, and 98 Degrees. To enjoy a reserved seating area, make an Eat to the Beat Dining Package reservation.
The heart of the Food & Wine Festival is the Festival Center. This can be found near where the Guardians of the Galaxy Ride is being built. In the center you can purchase wine, pick up your Passholder magnet (if eligible), attend a demonstration, and much more. There is also an information desk, so if you don’t know where to start someone will be able to talk you through it.

Returning for 2018 are the Passports. Once again, you’ll take it to each country that you buy a dish at, and it can be stamped for you. It’s fun to try to collect as many stamps as possible.
Kids will want to look for Remy with Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak. Maps are available for purchase, and each child who completes one will win a prize. There is also a Family Play Zone for the children, so they can burn off a little bit of steam.
