Disney Confirms End of the Jingle Cruise Holiday Ride Overlay at Magic Kingdom

The holiday version of a classic Adventureland ride already has an expiration date. Walt Disney World Resort has set the final day for the Jingle Cruise, and the original Jungle Cruise will be back on the water just a day later.

Every year, Walt Disney World Resort turns the Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom Park into the Jingle Cruise, a holiday-themed trip through the Amazon, Congo, Nile, and Mekong Rivers. Skippers work the Most Wonderful Time of the Year into their scripts, and Imagineers add holiday props throughout the attraction and on its audio-animatronics. The last day to ride the standard Jungle Cruise before the change is Monday, November 2.

Walt Disney World Resort’s website had already confirmed that the Jingle Cruise would debut on November 3, 2026. The overlay runs during regular park hours and during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the special-ticketed event held on select nights in November and December.

On Sunday, November 1, the Walt Disney World Resort finalized the holiday overlay schedule. Its updated Jingle Cruise webpage states that the final day to experience the overlay is January 4, 2027. Imagineers will make the switch overnight, and the Jungle Cruise will be back in operation when Magic Kingdom Park opens on January 5, 2027.

That gives guests about nine weeks to ride the holiday version. The overlay will actually leave two days before the official end of the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort, which wraps up on January 6, 2027.

Anyone hoping to catch the Jingle Cruise should plan to visit before the first week of January. Guests who prefer the classic version of the Adventureland attraction can ride it through November 2 or return when it resumes on January 5.
