Disney World Sells Out Another Major Christmas Event, Thanksgiving Plans Disrupted
Walt Disney World is getting ready for the holiday season, but families planning a Thanksgiving vacation might have to make some last-minute changes.
Christmas is one of the most popular times to visit Disney World, especially with Magic Kingdom offering special entertainment, festive decorations, and exclusive holiday experiences.
However, guests hoping to attend one of the resort’s biggest Christmas celebrations are quickly running out of options.

Disney World has officially sold out another Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party date, and this latest development could affect families visiting during Thanksgiving week.
Even more concerning for holiday visitors, this isn’t the first Thanksgiving week sellout Disney has confirmed.
Disney World Confirms November 27 Christmas Party Sellout
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has officially sold out for Friday, November 27, 2026.
The date falls immediately after Thanksgiving, making it a popular choice for families spending the holiday weekend at Walt Disney World.
Unfortunately, guests hoping to attend the celebration that evening can no longer purchase standard tickets.
The latest announcement follows another recent sellout for Wednesday, November 25, the day before Thanksgiving.
With both dates unavailable, families planning their vacations around the Christmas party have fewer opportunities to experience the event.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party requires separate admission, meaning regular Magic Kingdom tickets do not provide access to the nighttime festivities.
The event runs from 7 p.m. until midnight, although ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m.
For families who already purchased tickets, their plans remain unchanged. However, anyone still hoping to secure admission for November 27 will need to consider another date.
Only Three November Christmas Party Dates Remain Available
As of October 21, Disney World still has several Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates available.
However, November options are becoming limited.
The remaining November dates include November 15, November 19, and November 29.
Guests planning December visits have additional choices, including December 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, and 18.
Tickets for guests ages 10 and older currently range from $194 to $229, depending on the evening.
Children ages 3 through 9 receive a $10 discount, while eligible Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save on select dates.
With Thanksgiving approaching, families interested in attending should check Disney’s official ticket calendar before making additional vacation arrangements.

What Makes Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party So Popular?
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party offers experiences that guests won’t necessarily find during a regular Magic Kingdom visit.
One of its signature offerings is Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, featuring Disney characters, festive floats, holiday performers, and Santa Claus.
Guests can also enjoy Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, a nighttime spectacular featuring Christmas music and fireworks above Cinderella Castle.
Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration brings additional entertainment to the castle stage, while special character appearances create opportunities for holiday photographs.
The party also traditionally includes complimentary cookies and select seasonal beverages, along with access to participating attractions.
These offerings help explain why families continue purchasing tickets months before their holiday vacations.
Disney World Guests Still Have Other Christmas Options
Fortunately, missing Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party doesn’t mean missing Christmas at Disney World.
Magic Kingdom will still feature holiday decorations during regular operating hours.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios also hosts Disney Jollywood Nights, another separately ticketed Christmas celebration.
Meanwhile, EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays begins November 27, bringing seasonal entertainment, holiday traditions, and festive food to the park.
With two Thanksgiving week Christmas party dates already sold out, guests should avoid waiting too long to finalize their plans.
For now, November 29 remains an option for families hoping to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party during Thanksgiving weekend.
