Pin Details

The shield-shaped pin carries an antiqued gold-tone finish with a crowned raven’s profile above six stars, framed by a raised border over a textured design.

It arrives on a black backing card with a red-and-black diamond-patterned border and “Six Ravens” in white Gothic lettering.

The crown, shown in promotional artwork, is gold-colored with the restaurant’s name and shield emblem.

The Pin Is Not Going Online

Collectors should note the distinction between today’s two merchandise items.

A Textured Sticker Sheet titled “The Intrepid Pilgrims,” featuring the restaurant’s skeletal characters including a full-length illustration of “The King,” goes on sale at gideonsbakehouse.com today at 10 a.m.

The opening day pin has not been announced for online availability.

Given one-per-person limits, unannounced quantities, and the collector following around Gideon’s Bakehouse releases, arriving early is the reasonable approach.

A Detail in the Pricing

The menu prices follow a pattern worth noticing.

  • Coffyns: $10.96
  • Tale Teller Tatties: $8.66
  • The Tart’s Tempest: $7.66
  • The Friars Fault root beer: $6.96
  • Fountain beverages: $3.66
  • Beers: $9.66

Every price ends in 96 or 66. Six and nine, for Six Ravens, applied consistently across the entire menu.

What a Coffyn Is

The restaurant’s signature item is a yeast roll fully encasing sandwich ingredients. Per Disney, “Coffyn” was the original term for hand pie, and the dish stayed popular in medieval Europe through the English Tudor period into the early 1600s.

The name Six Ravens references the Tower of London and the legend of the ravens that still guard the tower, which is also what the pin’s crowned raven above six stars depicts.

Central Florida Restaurants Built This Menu

The collaboration structure is the most distinctive element of the concept.

Four of the six Coffyns pair with sauces from named independent Orlando restaurants:

  • The Peasant’s Patty, a cheeseburger with American cheese and dill pickle bits, with Pink Salamander Dipping Sauce
  • The Villain of Valentina, basil pesto chicken with balsamic tomatoes, with Bruno’s Garlic Knot Juice from Pizza Bruno
  • The Wizard’s Wonder, mac and cheese with pickled poblano and BBQ pulled pork, with Prince Donut’s Smoke and Cherry BBQ Sauce from Smoke and Donuts
  • The Imperial Idol, mildly spicy chicken with potato and carrot coconut curry, with Red Panda’s Dipping Sauce from Red Panda Noodle

The Moreish Monk, a grilled cheese with Vermont white cheddar, Havarti, and house tomato jam, comes with Wolf Peach Sauce. The Foragers Find, with spiced roasted sweet potatoes, black bean corn salsa, crushed pepitas and queso cotija, comes with Tropic of Mango Aioli Dip. Papi’s Burritos was also named among collaborators.

The beer list is entirely Central Florida: Polite Light and Lone Palm Golden Ale from The Ravenous Pig, Florida Sunshine Mango from The Crooked Can, and Sideward Cider plus the 7 percent Moon Boots IPA from Sideward Brewing.

No national brands appear on the menu.

Meal Cost

A Coffyn, Tale Teller Tatties, and a house tap root beer total $26.58 before tax.

For comparison within the district, Blaze Pizza recently raised its build-your-own pizza to $13.50, making a Coffyn the less expensive entree of the two.

Coming Later

Six Ravens has announced plans for limited-edition flavors, including a Halloween weekend offering, as well as additional tart flavors, merchandise, artwork, and expanded lore.

The restaurant also teased bottling its Realm Famous Honey Mustard, with other sauces possibly following. No dates were provided.
