It’s hard to keep up with Walt Disney World right now. Magic Kingdom has already waved farewell to the Rivers of America, clearing space for Piston Peak National Park, and Villains Land is still on the horizon. Yet some of the most tangible progress is taking shape on the other side of Bay Lake, where Disney’s newest resort is inching toward the finish line.
That resort is Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, and as of October 8, 2026, you can officially book it. Rooms are available for stays beginning July 1, 2027, when the resort is scheduled to open.

From Reflections to Lakeshore
Longtime Disney fans will remember this project as Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. It later went by Disney Lakeshore Lodge for a short time before landing on its current name, with the possessive “Disney’s” bringing it in line with every other hotel on property. A U.S. Patent and Trademark Office filing dated August 11, 2026, lists the name as “DISNEY’S LAKESHORE LODGE.”
The Perk Planners Will Love
Here’s the detail that matters most for trip planning: Lakeshore Lodge has been added to Walt Disney World’s Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours lineup.
With Early Theme Park Entry, you can walk into any of the four parks 30 minutes before the official opening time, every day of your stay. Extended Evening Hours is reserved for guests at Deluxe Resorts and Disney Vacation Club Resorts, who on select nights can linger in a designated park for up to two hours after it shuts to the general public. Fewer people in the park means this is among the best chances you’ll get to ride the big attractions without a long wait.
Factor in the resort’s Bay Lake setting, and Magic Kingdom regulars may find it hard to beat for convenience.
Rooms, Restaurants, and a Lazy River
The resort will have 967 rooms, ranging from studios and villas to one- and two-bedroom waterfront Lake Houses. Its design pulls from Walt Disney’s love of the natural world and films like Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear. Step into the lobby, and you’ll see a fiber-optic river and a blown-glass piece inspired by “Colors of the Wind.”

For meals, you’ll have Moonglade, Bay Lake Provisions, and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill to choose from, and Dandelion Terrace offers a view of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. Families will want to check out The Wetlands, home to a zero-entry pool with a spiral slide, the Daydream River lazy river, and areas for kids to play.
Construction is moving along, too. On September 19, 2026, theme park photographer Bioreconstruct shared aerial photos showing work on The Wetlands and the Cypress Point pool areas, plus landscaping across the site.
What This Means for You
If a summer 2027 trip or later is on your calendar, the booking window is open. Between the added park time and the short distance to Magic Kingdom, it makes sense to reserve early before rooms get harder to find.
