Over the weekend, Kawaii Slime Company revealed on Instagram that it will open a new location in the Marketplace area of Disney Springs, Walt Disney World Resort‘s outdoor shopping, dining, and entertainment district. The brand has run the Kawaii Slime Cart at the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort since 2024, though it’s unclear whether the Florida spot will be bigger than its California counterpart.

The announcement came in an Instagram reel showing the company’s mascot, Shelly the octopus, boarding a plane from California to Florida. The caption read:

Okay… we’ve been keeping a BIG secret. 👀✨

Neither Kawaii Slime Company nor Walt Disney World Resort has clarified whether the Disney Springs location will be a full storefront or a cart like the one at Downtown Disney Resort. A grand opening date hasn’t been shared either.

Kawaii Slime Company got its start in 2017, when its founder’s seven-year-old daughter asked if the two could make slime together. That bonding activity grew into a thriving business known for scented slimes in textures like butter, cloud, glossy, clear, crunchy, fluffy, floam, and jelly cube. The Las Vegas-based company is woman- and minority-owned.

Named after the Japanese word for “cute,” the brand leans into pastel packaging, original characters, and sensory toys designed to look like drinks, desserts, animals, and fantastical creatures. Most slimes come with charms, fake sprinkles, and other mix-ins. Its catalog also includes Signature Dome slimes, slime-making kits, ice cream slime kits, slime activator, plush toys, bags, and other craft kits.
