DreamWorks Land hasn’t been around for very long, but Universal is already making plenty of changes inside one of Universal Studios Florida’s newest areas.
Another one arrives October 3.
One of the land’s family-focused experiences is temporarily shutting down, and Universal hasn’t provided a date for its return. Even more surprisingly, the attraction already underwent an extended refurbishment earlier this year.

Another DreamWorks Land Attraction Is Going Offline
Po Live! will temporarily close beginning October 3 at Universal Studios Florida.
The interactive Kung Fu Panda experience allows guests to communicate with Po through an animated screen. Po responds to visitors, jokes with the audience and brings the DreamWorks character to life in a way that’s different from a traditional meet-and-greet.
For families spending time in DreamWorks Land, it’s one of several experiences designed specifically with younger visitors in mind.
Starting October 3, however, guests shouldn’t expect it to be available.
Universal has confirmed the temporary closure but hasn’t announced how long it will last.
Po Live! Was Already Closed This Summer
Normally, a temporary refurbishment wouldn’t draw much attention. Attractions throughout Universal Orlando Resort regularly close for maintenance.
Po Live!’s situation is a little different.
The attraction already underwent an extended refurbishment this summer.
Po Live! and Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp closed around the middle of May and remained unavailable until early July. That meant Universal had the area closed for roughly six weeks before welcoming guests back.
Now, just a few months later, Po Live! is closing again.

Universal hasn’t revealed what work will take place this time or whether the upcoming shutdown has anything to do with the previous refurbishment.
Without those details, guests are left with another open-ended closure.
DreamWorks Land Has Faced Other Changes
The Kung Fu Panda section isn’t the only part of DreamWorks Land that has needed adjustments.
When the land opened in 2024, the Shrek area included sprinklers where children could cool off and play.
Those water features didn’t last.
Universal eventually removed the sprinklers and paved over the former water-play area, turning it into a cemented space instead.
Now, Po Live! is preparing for another period of downtime.
None of these changes mean DreamWorks Land itself is closing or undergoing a major overhaul. The rest of the land will continue welcoming guests while Po Live! remains unavailable.
Still, it’s notable to see this much change happening inside an area that opened only a couple of years ago.
Universal Hasn’t Said When Po Will Return
For guests with upcoming Universal Studios Florida trips, October 3 is the important date.
Po Live! will be unavailable beginning that day, and there’s currently no announced reopening date.
After already losing the attraction for weeks this summer, families are facing another shutdown only months later.
How long will this one last?
For now, Universal isn’t saying.
