Disney Park Alters Iconic Princess Outfits, Covers Them up With Immediate Effect

Disney’s princesses have received another wardrobe update.

Costumes worn by Disney characters are regularly adjusted for parades, meet-and-greets, stage productions, and seasonal events, even as they continue to resemble the outfits seen in their original films.

Jasmine is one of the clearest examples. Her turquoise look from Aladdin (1992) originally featured a crop top and harem pants, while Disney introduced a more covered theme park version in 2016.

That redesign added long sleeves, a higher neckline, a full-length top, and a sheer overskirt while retaining the character’s pants. Disney has also altered park costumes for characters, including Mulan and Pocahontas, over the years.

Now, another set of princess costumes has been changed with immediate effect.

Disney Rolls Out New Princess Outfits

Disneyland Paris has introduced winter versions of the costumes worn in its Disney Princess Cavalcade at Disney Adventure World.

The change has already taken effect, giving performers more coverage as temperatures fall in France.

DLP Report shared images of the updated costumes and said the warmer designs are expected to remain in use through the colder months.

Winter outfits have been deployed on the Disney Princess Cavalcade at Disney Adventure World. The production is expected to run through the colder months.

The Disney Princess Cavalcade only debuted earlier this year, arriving at Disney Adventure World in July 2026.

The production stars Moana, Rapunzel, Raya, and Tiana, each appearing aboard a float inspired by their respective films.

It runs several times daily around Adventure Bay, the large lake created as part of the overhaul of the former Walt Disney Studios Park.

Disney Adventure World officially replaced the Walt Disney Studios Park name in March 2026 as Disneyland Paris continued a major transformation of its second gate.

The cavalcade was created as one of the new entertainment offerings attached to that expansion.

Unlike a traditional parade, the production also includes moments where the princesses step away from their floats and perform directly along the route.

Moana uses choreography inspired by traditional Pacific Islands dance, while Raya performs martial arts inspired movements.

Guests may also be invited to participate in parts of the sequence before the characters return to their floats.

Disney Has Already Given Its Princesses New Looks

The winter costumes are not the first alternate princess outfits introduced at Disney Adventure World this year.

Disney also created new looks for characters appearing at The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, a princess-themed (and expensive) dining location overlooking Adventure Bay.

Those costumes move further away from the formal gowns and recognizable outfits typically associated with the characters.

Several princesses instead wear more relaxed adventure-inspired clothing designed around the restaurant’s storyline.

The location is presented as a place where Disney Princess characters can meet away from their usual adventures, giving Disney more freedom to reinterpret their wardrobes.

Characters represented throughout the restaurant include Jasmine, Moana, Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Aurora, Raya, Ariel, and Merida.

The Disney Princess Cavalcade uses its own separate designs.

Disney developed the original costumes specifically for the production alongside its floats and choreography, with the looks created to reflect each princess while working within a live entertainment setting.

The newly introduced winter versions now adapt those designs for colder weather.

Disneyland Paris experiences significantly lower temperatures during fall and winter than Disney’s parks in Florida and California, making seasonal costume changes particularly important for outdoor performers.

The cavalcade is expected to continue operating through the colder months rather than disappearing after summer.
