A Disney Springs experience has vanished from more than just the shopping and dining district.
Disney recently closed its face painting and temporary tattoo kiosk outside Marketplace Co-Op. Now, the company has removed the experience from the Walt Disney World website as questions continue about its future.
Disney hasn’t officially called the closure permanent, but there currently isn’t much left pointing guests toward a return.
Another Disney Springs Offering Disappears
Guests walking through the Marketplace area of Disney Springs will find the face painting and temporary tattoo kiosk closed.
Curtains now cover the location, and nearby signs have been removed. However, Disney hasn’t surrounded the kiosk with construction walls or planters.
That leaves the reason behind the closure unclear.
Cast Members reportedly did not know whether the kiosk had permanently closed, whether it would eventually reopen, or whether Disney might relocate the experience somewhere else.
No replacement face painting station was spotted elsewhere at Disney Springs during the latest visit.
Then came another notable change.
Disney Takes Down Face Painting Webpage
Disney has removed the dedicated face painting page from the official Walt Disney World website.
That doesn’t guarantee the experience is gone permanently. Disney has not made an announcement confirming its permanent removal, and there remains a possibility that face painting could return in another location or following refurbishment work.
However, guests currently have several signs pointing toward a potentially longer absence.
The physical location has closed. Signs have disappeared. The official webpage has also been taken down, and Disney hasn’t provided a reopening date.
Nearby construction could provide one explanation.
The kiosk was located near Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop, which is currently undergoing a major refurbishment. That work could have contributed to the kiosk closing.
There is also a possibility Disney has additional changes planned around Marketplace Co-Op. The shop’s interior has already received new flooring.
Until Disney provides an update, though, exactly what happens next remains unknown.
Disney Springs constantly evolves as stores, restaurants, kiosks, and smaller experiences change. This could ultimately prove to be another temporary adjustment.
For the moment, however, the face painting and temporary tattoo experience has disappeared from Disney Springs and Disney’s website, leaving its future uncertain.
