Disney World Announces Spring 2027 Festival Dates for EPCOT

A take I will defend. The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival is the best festival Disney runs.

Not the most popular. Food and Wine wins that easily. Bigger crowds, longer run, deeper menu, thirty years of history behind it.

But “popular” and “best” are different arguments.

Flower and Garden is the only EPCOT festival that changes what the park physically looks like. Food and Wine adds booths. Festival of the Arts adds galleries. Festival of the Holidays adds lights. All layered on top of the park.

Flower and Garden transforms the park itself. Topiaries across every neighborhood. Beds replanted. Sightlines changing color. Walk in during April, and you are somewhere genuinely different from the place you visited in October.

If you have only done Food and Wine, you have not seen EPCOT at its best.

The Dates

March 10 through May 31, 2027.

A little over eleven weeks, spanning three months and covering spring break, Easter, and Memorial Day weekend.

That range matters. The festival now covers most of the window when Central Florida weather is actually pleasant, which is a narrow stretch that slams shut once summer humidity arrives.

The Topiaries

The living sculptures from Disney’s horticulture teams are the headline, as they should be.

Disney characters brought to life through elaborate topiaries across:

  • World Celebration
  • World Discovery
  • World Nature
  • The World Showcase pavilions

These are not decorations tucked in corners. They are focal points throughout the park, which is exactly why the festival reshapes how EPCOT feels rather than just adding something to do.

Curated global gardens sit alongside them, highlighting sustainable growing techniques, exotic blooms, and seasonal flora from around the world.

That educational layer is easy to skip and worth slowing down for. The sustainability displays fit EPCOT’s original mission better than almost anything else in the park right now.

Outdoor Kitchens

Back with a new menu of spring-inspired dishes and beverages.

Scattered throughout the park, focused on fresh seasonal ingredients. Savory garden-fresh bites through sweet, fruit-forward desserts.

The difference between Flower and Garden food and Food and Wine food is real. This one runs lighter, brighter, more produce-driven. Food and Wine goes rich and heavy.

Found Food and Wine overwhelming? This is your festival.

Garden Rocks

Live music returns to the America Gardens Theatre with the Garden Rocks Concert Series.

Running throughout the festival, featuring internationally recognized artists alongside beloved local bands.

Garden Rocks Dining Packages return too, pairing a meal at select EPCOT restaurants with reserved seating.

Worth knowing early. Garden Rocks seating fills fast for bigger acts, and a dining package is the reliable way to lock a spot without camping at the theatre.

For Families

Two returning offerings make this festival unusually good with kids.

Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration is back. The park-wide scavenger hunt follows Spike the Bee along his pollination trail to a prize.

The walkthrough butterfly house also returns, offering a close-up look at the butterfly lifecycle inside a lush enclosed habitat.

The butterfly house is one of the most underrated things at any EPCOT festival. Free to walk through, shaded, and for younger kids it is frequently the memory that sticks from the whole trip.

When to Actually Go

Notes on that March 10 to May 31 window.

Mid-March into early April will be the busiest. Spring break and Easter travel.

Late April and May are the sweet spot. Topiaries fully established, plantings filled in, crowds eased after Easter, weather not yet punishing.

Visiting once and want EPCOT looking its absolute best? Aim there.

Start Planning

Dates this far out are useful, and spring 2027 resort discounts are already live.

Disney recently released room-only offers covering January 3 through April 29, 2027, with savings of up to 25 percent, depending on the resort and date. That overlaps a solid chunk of the festival.
