Universal Orlando Confirms Rock the Universe 2027 Dates, Reveals Huge Lineup

Universal Orlando Resort has officially set the stage for another major weekend in early 2027.

Rock the Universe will return to Universal Studios Florida with two nights of Christian music, theme park attractions, and worship experiences. Universal has also revealed a packed performer lineup spread across the weekend, giving guests two very different concert schedules depending on which night they attend.

With 18 artists announced and a Sunday morning worship service planned after the concerts end, the event will give fans several ways to experience the weekend.

Rock the Universe Brings Music and Theme Park Fun Together

Rock the Universe is Universal Orlando Resort’s annual Christian music festival, and it offers a different type of evening inside Universal Studios Florida.

Rather than centering the night on a single concert, the event brings multiple artists together over the weekend. Guests can watch live performances while enjoying the rides and attractions available during the event.

That mix allows visitors to build their evening around more than music alone. They can catch several performers, spend time elsewhere in the park, and return for more concerts throughout the night.

Universal has now confirmed that the festival will return in January 2027, along with the first major details fans need to start planning.

Rock the Universe Returns January 22 and 23

The main Rock the Universe festivities will take place Friday, January 22, and Saturday, January 23, 2027.

Each evening will feature its own lineup, so guests who attend both nights will see an entirely different group of performers on Saturday than they did on Friday.

That also gives visitors some flexibility. Fans can choose a single night based on the artists they want to see, or make the event part of a full weekend at Universal Orlando Resort.

Friday will get things started with nine performers.

Nine Artists Will Perform Friday Night

Elevation Worship is scheduled to perform during the opening night of Rock the Universe on Friday, January 22.

The first-night lineup will also include Rave Jesus, Benjamin William Hastings, and Jamie MacDonald.

Guests will have several more artists to see throughout the evening, including Strings & Heart, 1K Phew, and Joseph O’Brien.

Maddi Jane and John Allan complete Friday’s announced roster.

That gives the first night nine performers in total, but Universal isn’t carrying that same group into the second evening.

Instead, Saturday brings another nine artists to Universal Studios Florida.

Saturday Features a Completely Different Lineup

Josiah Queen will be part of the Saturday, January 23, lineup, along with Katy Nichole and CAIN.

Franni Cash will also perform during the second night, while Megan Woods and gio add to the Saturday schedule.

The remaining announced artists for the evening are Sam Wesley, Peter Burton, and Torey D’Shaun.

With nine performers on Friday and another nine on Saturday, Universal has announced 18 artists for the two concert nights.

That gives guests who attend the entire weekend two separate sets of performances rather than a repeated lineup.

And even after Saturday’s final concerts wrap up, Rock the Universe still has one more gathering planned.

Sunday Morning Will Close Out the Weekend

Universal will conclude Rock the Universe with a non-denominational worship service on Sunday morning.

The service follows the two nights of concerts and theme park experiences, giving attendees one final part of the event before the weekend officially ends.

Guests planning to attend will also have several ticket options available.

Tickets and vacation packages are scheduled to go on sale September 15. Universal will offer single-night tickets for fans who only want to attend Friday or Saturday.

The resort will also offer the “Rock Your Weekend” ticket.

That option includes full weekend access to Rock the Universe activities and theme park access, making it a good fit for guests who want more than a single concert night.

Universal Has a Packed January Weekend Planned

Rock the Universe is now officially on Universal Orlando Resort’s 2027 calendar, and the newly announced details show just how much will be packed into the weekend.

Guests will have 18 artists to choose from across January 22 and 23, with different performers scheduled each night. The Sunday morning worship service will then bring the event to a close.

For anyone interested in attending, September 15 is the next important date, as tickets and vacation packages are scheduled to go on sale then.

Whether fans come for one night or stay for the full weekend, Rock the Universe will once again combine live music, theme park experiences, and worship at Universal Studios Florida.
