EPCOT Closure Confirmed at Disney World, Likely Through August 27

A familiar EPCOT building went quiet this week.

Guests arriving at EPCOT on August 10 found The Odyssey Pavilion shuttered. The building, tucked between the World Showcase and World Discovery neighborhoods, has been part of the park since EPCOT opened in October 1982 — first as a full-time Quick-Service dining location, later as the home of the “Mickey’s Rockin’ Celebration” live character show, and in its current form as a seasonal festival venue.

Throughout the year, The Odyssey Pavilion changes identity with each major EPCOT festival. It becomes Holiday Hearth Desserts during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, Figment’s Inspiration Station during the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, The Citrus Blossom during the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and Brew-Wing Lab during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

That last transformation is almost certainly what’s underway right now. The 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival opens on August 27 — 17 days from now — and closing the Odyssey Pavilion ahead of the event gives Walt Disney World Resort the window needed to convert the interior into the Brew-Wing Lab configuration. No menu details or pricing for this year’s Brew-Wing Lab have been announced yet.

Walt Disney World Resort has not issued any statement about the closure.

The restaurant and lounge space is the only part of The Odyssey Pavilion affected by the current closure. The building’s restrooms, Baby Care Center, and First Aid Center remain accessible to EPCOT guests throughout the shutdown.
