Disney Springs Is About to Get One of the Most Beloved Disney Park Experiences Ever
If you have ever wandered through the Marketplace side of Disney Springs and ducked into Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers, you may have already encountered a version of the silhouette experience without fully realizing it.
The shop, which traces its roots back to a Fantasyland location that opened in 1967, already offers silhouette portraits as part of its personalization services alongside custom engraving, laser etching, and handcrafted crystal glassware. Guests can currently have silhouettes applied to items like crystal drinkware, frames, laser cubes, photo albums, and stemware. It is a quieter, less publicized version of what most Disney fans associate with the silhouette experience at Magic Kingdom, and a lot of guests walk right past it without knowing it is an option.
That is apparently about to change in a significant way.
Construction Walls Are Up and Something New Is Coming
During a visit to Crystal Arts on July 23, guests noticed new construction walls were spotted inside the store. A cast member confirmed the walls are for a forthcoming Studio for Silhouettes area being added to the location. The Arribas Brothers signage on the walls teases that exciting additions are coming soon, which is about as specific as Disney ever gets before a reveal.
What exactly this new space will offer is the part nobody can answer with certainty yet. Based on what the current Crystal Arts location already does with silhouettes, the safest assumption is that the Studio for Silhouettes will build on that foundation in some meaningful way. But the cast member’s description of the new area included an interactive wish-builder spot with cool lights and other new features, suggesting this is not simply a repackaging of what is already available in the store.
Whether that means the traditional hand-cut silhouette portrait experience familiar from Magic Kingdom and Disneyland is part of the plan, whether the new space leans into a more digital or enhanced format, or whether it is something else entirely, remains genuinely unknown. The interactive language and the dedicated studio branding both point toward something more immersive than a simple service counter, but that is as far as the current information takes us.

Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers already occupies a prime spot in the Marketplace near World of Disney, one of the busiest corners of Disney Springs. Adding a dedicated Studio for Silhouettes to that location, whatever form it takes, puts a beloved Disney tradition in front of an enormous daily audience that does not require a park ticket to access.
For guests who have always wanted a silhouette experience but never caught the Magic Kingdom cart at the right time, this could be the answer. For guests who already use the personalization services at Crystal Arts, it looks like a significant upgrade is on the way.
