At 7:41 p.m. on July 14, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a discharged weapon at Flamingo Crossings Village. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the call log on X (formerly known as Twitter):

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/14/26 7:41 PM

The Google Maps screenshot attached to the alert pinpoints the response on a roadway near Building I-37 in the West concourse of the Flamingo Crossings Village housing complex. Unlike most scanner alerts tied to Walt Disney World Resort, which are typically logged at generalized property addresses, the specific building reference here suggests this location may more accurately reflect where the incident occurred — though that hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor Walt Disney World Resort has issued any public statement about the incident. Whether the people involved were Disney cast members, residents of the non-Disney hotels also located at Flamingo Crossings Village, or unrelated individuals hasn’t been established. Further details are likely to emerge only if criminal charges are filed or a police report is made available.

About Flamingo Crossings Village

Flamingo Crossings Village opened in 2021 as Walt Disney World Resort’s newest and now only cast member housing complex, replacing the four previous complexes — Vista Way, Chatham Square, Patterson Court, and The Commons — that had previously served Disney College Program participants.

Since 2023, any Walt Disney World Resort cast member has been eligible to apply for housing at the complex, not just Disney College Program participants. The site also includes several hotels and stores that are not affiliated with Disney’s cast member housing program.
