Your Next Disney Springs Visit Just Changed After Disney Moves a Fan-Favorite Store
There are certain places at Disney Springs that guests make a point to visit every single trip. Some head straight for World of Disney, while others can’t leave without grabbing something sweet before heading back to their hotel. One longtime favorite has become almost a tradition for countless Disney fans, and now that familiar stop is in a brand-new location.

The good news is that it hasn’t closed. You’ll just need to know where to find it.
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop has officially relocated while its longtime Disney Springs home receives an extensive renovation. Rather than shutting down during construction, the popular chocolate shop is welcoming guests from a temporary storefront in the Town Center section of Disney Springs.
The new location occupies the building that most recently served as the Black Tap CrazyShake pop-up. Before that, Disney visitors knew the space as the longtime home of Sprinkles Cupcakes.
Although the address has changed, fans can still enjoy many of the same treats that have made Ghirardelli one of Disney Springs’ most popular dessert destinations.

For years, guests have stopped by for handcrafted sundaes, creamy milkshakes, premium chocolate, and the complimentary chocolate squares that have become a signature part of the experience. For many visitors, grabbing that free sample has become just as much of a tradition as shopping or dining elsewhere in Disney Springs.
Disney is using the closure of the original storefront to complete a significant refurbishment rather than simple cosmetic work. When the project is finished, guests can expect additional seating, a more streamlined checkout process, and several new surprises that Disney has not yet revealed.
Construction walls now surround the original building, making it clear that plenty of work is underway. Disney has also placed signage directing guests toward the temporary location so they don’t miss out on one of the shopping district’s most recognizable destinations.
The refurbishment is expected to continue until spring 2027, meaning visitors over the next several months should plan on making a slight adjustment to their usual Disney Springs routine.

Changes like this have become increasingly common throughout Disney Springs. The entertainment district has continued evolving with new restaurants, retail locations, and refreshed experiences designed to keep the destination feeling new for returning visitors.
Fortunately for chocolate lovers, this isn’t a permanent goodbye. It’s simply a temporary move that allows Ghirardelli to continue serving guests while improvements take place behind the scenes.
By the time the original location reopens, Disney promises guests will find an updated experience designed to better accommodate crowds while preserving the sweet traditions that have made Ghirardelli a favorite for years.
