Walt Disney World Shuts Out Guests from Magic Kingdom as Fifth 2026 Event Sells Out Completely

The number keeps getting smaller, and Disney fans may want to pay attention before another date disappears.

Walt Disney World has officially sold out yet another Magic Kingdom After Hours event, reducing the remaining 2026 schedule to just three available nights.

The latest date to reach capacity is June 22, which has now joined four other sold-out Magic Kingdom After Hours events this year. With January 12, March 9, May 18, and May 25 already off the board, Disney’s latest sellout marks the fifth Magic Kingdom After Hours event to completely sell out during the 2026 season.

That trend says a lot about how guests are choosing to experience Walt Disney World.

For years, many visitors focused exclusively on standard park tickets. Today, however, limited-capacity offerings continue attracting guests who are willing to pay more for shorter waits and a less crowded experience.

Magic Kingdom After Hours has become one of the clearest examples of that shift.

The separately ticketed event allows guests to enter the park beginning at 7 p.m. before exclusive access begins at 10 p.m. The event then continues until 1 a.m., giving participants three hours of lower-capacity access to attractions throughout the park.

For many visitors, those late-night hours are the entire reason to buy a ticket.

Summer afternoons at Magic Kingdom can be hot, crowded, and packed with long waits. After Hours offers a completely different atmosphere. Main Street, U.S.A. becomes noticeably less congested. Walkways are easier to navigate. Guests often find themselves accomplishing more in a few hours than they could during a full daytime visit.

The attraction lineup remains one of the biggest selling points.

Popular rides including TRON Lightcycle / Run, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Jungle Cruise are among the attractions available during the event. Instead of building an entire vacation around Lightning Lane return windows, guests can focus on simply enjoying the park.

Disney sweetens the deal by including complimentary snacks. Ice cream novelties, popcorn, and bottled beverages are available throughout the evening, adding another layer of value for attendees.

Of course, the experience comes at a cost.

The now-sold-out June 22 event carried a price tag of $194 per person before tax. While that number may cause some sticker shock, the continuing sellouts suggest plenty of guests see value in what the event provides.

That demand becomes even more impressive when considering how many major projects and new experiences are already drawing visitors to Walt Disney World this summer. Magic Kingdom remains the centerpiece of most family vacations, and special-ticket offerings continue benefiting from that popularity.

The latest sellout leaves just three remaining Magic Kingdom After Hours dates on the calendar:

  • June 29 ($194)
  • July 13 ($175)
  • July 27 ($175)

Those dates now represent the final opportunities for guests hoping to attend Magic Kingdom After Hours this year.

Historically, limited-capacity Disney events often see increased demand once availability begins shrinking. The fewer dates that remain, the more attention those dates tend to receive.

That could place additional pressure on the final three events as summer continues.

For Walt Disney World, the fifth sellout is another indication that guests continue embracing premium experiences. For everyone still considering an After Hours ticket, it serves as a reminder that waiting may no longer be an option.

The June 22 event is officially gone, and only three nights remain before Magic Kingdom’s 2026 After Hours season comes to an end.
