Legoland Florida Is Hosting a Massive World Cup Event Right Down the Road From Disney
Walt Disney World gets the headlines, the budget, and the majority of the days on most Central Florida itineraries. That is not going to change this summer. But less than an hour down the road from the most magical place on earth, a theme park just launched something that deserves its own day on the calendar, and families who find out about it in time are the ones who are going to be glad they made the drive.
Legoland Florida Resort in Winter Haven is hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026 Experience from June 11 through July 19, included with regular park admission, and it is one of the more inventive family-friendly World Cup celebrations happening anywhere in the United States right now.
From this weekend, June 11–July 19, 2026, participating Legoland parks turn into soccer-themed fan zones packed with LEGO-inspired activities, games and photo ops—kicking off alongside the FIFA World Cup!

What the Legoland Experience Is
The FIFA World Cup 2026 Experience transforms a dedicated section of Legoland Florida into a soccer-themed fan zone built entirely around LEGO-inspired activities, interactive games, and photo moments timed to the FIFA World Cup tournament happening across the United States, Canada, and Mexico this summer.
The centerpiece of the experience is the Training Academy, a series of skill challenges designed for guests of all ages. Spot Shot is a fast-paced accuracy challenge where guests take their best shot under pressure. Super Squad is a family passing game where participants are assigned colors and must quickly pass the ball to the correct person when their color is called. The final challenge, Kick-Off, tasks guests with scoring a goal against a LEGO Minifigure, which is considerably more fun than it sounds.
Beyond the skill challenges, guests can meet LEGO brick versions of soccer legends including Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Vinícius Júnior, pose for a photo with the LEGO FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, and design their own custom soccer jersey in LEGO bricks to add to the Heroes of Play Wall. The LEGO Model Citizens running the event do a strong job keeping energy levels high throughout, and iconic soccer songs play throughout the experience area.
The Food
Limited-time food is available throughout the event from two locations inside the park. The Legoland Coffee Co. is offering a Green Apple Frozen Lemonade for $10.37, a refreshing combination with green apple bobas layered on top and bottom where the lemonade cuts the sour flavor in a way that works better than expected.
Dragon’s Den has two event options that lean toward adult appetites. The Messy Fries at $10.89 arrive loaded with cheese, ham, pulled pork, bacon, and chives, a generous and appropriately named portion that requires real commitment. The BBQ Dog at $11.89 is a hot dog topped with pulled pork, BBQ sauce, crispy onions, and coleslaw, a soggy bun situation that rewards guests who arrive expecting to need a knife and fork.

Why Legoland is Worth the Drive From Disney World
Legoland Florida is approximately 45 to 50 minutes from Walt Disney World in Winter Haven, which puts it well within range for families who want a full theme park day that offers something genuinely different from the Disney and Universal experience without leaving the Central Florida area.
The pricing conversation is also worth having. Legoland Florida tickets currently start at $129 with a buy-one-get-one promotion available, and multi-park tickets start at $154 with the same structure. The FIFA World Cup Experience is included with admission at no additional cost. For a family of four the per-person math looks significantly different from a comparable Disney World day, particularly during peak summer pricing when Walt Disney World one-day tickets can reach $179 or higher.
The World Cup event is dedicated to a specific area of the park, so guests who want to experience the full Legoland Florida lineup and dip into the soccer celebration have both options available within the same admission. The event runs through July 19 which aligns almost perfectly with the peak of the summer vacation season for families with school-age children.
The FIFA World Cup happens once every four years. Legoland Florida turned it into a family experience worth the 40-minute drive from Disney World and it is running right now through the middle of July.
If you have been looking for a reason to add a non-Disney day to your Central Florida summer itinerary, this is a genuinely good one.
