Disney World Bans Guests After Fight Over Who Claimed a Parade Spot
A family who spent nearly two hours staking out the perfect spot for Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away at Magic Kingdom Park almost had their evening ruined…until Walt Disney World Resort security stepped in and made things right.
What Went Down on Main Street, U.S.A.

The incident unfolded just before the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away electrical parade was set to roll down Main Street, U.S.A. Instagram user @agentepooh captured the scene on video, showing Walt Disney World Resort security cast members and area managers standing in the middle of the parade route, the disruption significant enough that the parade itself nearly came to a halt.

The caption, written in Spanish, laid out what had happened. One family had arrived nearly two hours early to secure their viewing spot along Main Street, U.S.A. Another group showed up at the last minute and attempted to plant themselves directly in front of the family that had been waiting.
The confrontation that followed required intervention from Disney area management and security cast members. When the dust settled, the cast members sided with the family that had been there first.

After arguing with Disney cast members long enough to nearly derail the parade entirely, the group that had attempted to claim the viewing spot was escorted out of Magic Kingdom Park. Whether the removal was accompanied by a temporary suspension or a permanent ban from Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t been confirmed. The Central Florida vacation destination rarely comments publicly on incidents involving guest removal.
What To Do If It Happens to You

Parade-viewing disputes aren’t unheard of at Walt Disney World Resort, and the outcome here is a useful reminder that Disney cast members take these situations seriously and have the authority to address them. If another guest is making your park experience uncomfortable or confrontational, the best course of action is to avoid escalating the situation yourself and locate the nearest Disney cast member.
Security and, if necessary, law enforcement are stationed across Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney Springs.
