No More Nightly Fireworks: Two Disney Parks Suspend Shows for 5 Months
Two Disney parks are going fireworks-free for five months this year.
Fireworks have long closed out the day at Disney parks, giving guests a clear endpoint before park close. The shows vary in scale, but the structure is consistent across most resorts.

That applies in the United States, where Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park continue to rely on nightly spectaculars to anchor evening operations.
The same model exists overseas. At Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Sky Full of Colors serves as the resort’s standard fireworks offering, even with a shorter runtime than other parks.
That schedule will change in 2026.
Fireworks Paused Across Two Periods
Tokyo Disney Resort will suspend Sky Full of Colors from June 15 through September 14, 2026. The resort made a similar move in 2025, removing fireworks from the summer schedule.

A second pause will follow from September 25 through November 27. Combined, the two gaps total roughly five months without fireworks at both parks.
During those periods, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will operate without their usual nightly finale.
No Like-for-Like Replacement
As is typically the case during Sky Full of Colors’ summer and autumn hiatuses, there is no direct replacement for the fireworks. Reach for the Stars, a 20-minute projection show, typically runs alongside Sky Full of Colors rather than replacing it.
The show will continue through September 14, giving guests a nighttime option during the first phase of the fireworks pause.

Reach for the Stars is scheduled to end the same day. Fireworks briefly return before stopping again on September 25, this time without either show running.
Seasonal entertainment will still take place later in the year. Night High Halloween usually runs during the fall, followed by Starbright Christmas during the holiday period.
Even so, the extended pauses mean a large part of the year will pass without a nightly fireworks show at the resort.
