Main Street, U.S.A., Partially Barricaded at Disney, No End Date in Sight
Guests strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Park in Paris are navigating construction walls on multiple fronts. At least one of those projects won’t resolve until sometime next year.
Plaza Gardens Closed Through 2027

Plaza Gardens Restaurant shuttered on March 31, 2026, and the Table-Service dining location has been surrounded by construction barriers ever since. X user @DLPReport shared photos on Tuesday, capturing the current state of the walled-off space alongside concept art previewing its eventual new look.
🔧 Walls are now up at Plaza Gardens Restaurant, closed for a lengthy refurbishment into 2027 that will include roof work, facade repainting with a new color scheme and a refit of the dining room from the buffet to carpeting, tiles and chairs.

Walt Disney Imagineers are reportedly gutting and refreshing the interior with new carpeting, tiles, chairs, and furnishings, while the exterior gets a new color scheme and roof repairs. Disneyland Paris Resort has acknowledged that the closure will last into 2027, without committing to anything more specific.
Sleeping Beauty Castle Also Behind Construction Walls

A short walk from Plaza Gardens Restaurant, Sleeping Beauty Castle is dealing with construction of its own. The bridge section of the Disneyland Paris icon is currently being refurbished, with that work expected to carry through the fall.
Beginning May 6, the special effects within the Disney Tales of Magic entertainment experience will be “modified” through the end of September 2026. Whether additional parts of Sleeping Beauty Castle are included in the refurbishment plans has not been confirmed.
The Other Side of the European Disney Resort

Across the resort, Disney Adventure World — the newly reimagined version of what was once Walt Disney Studios Park — opened on March 29 with the World of Frozen, Raiponce Tangled Spin, and the Disney Cascade of Lights nighttime spectacular among its debut offerings.
More is still being built: a Lion King (1994) log flume ride and Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, a flying carousel inspired by Up (2009), are both under construction, with the latter targeting a 2027 opening.
