Report: Disney Already Planning To Revise Its ‘Frozen’ Land After Opening Week
Disney has confirmed plans to update its Frozen-themed lands around the world as new films in the franchise are released.
The announcement signals that areas based on Frozen will continue evolving across Disney parks rather than remaining tied to a single point in the story. Future changes could include updated character appearances and new story elements from upcoming films.

The first full Frozen-themed land opened at Hong Kong Disneyland on November 20, 2023. Known as World of Frozen, the area recreates the fictional kingdom of Arendelle with themed attractions, dining locations, and character encounters.
The land includes Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. Its storyline takes place after the events of Frozen II.
Frozen Lands Expand Across Disney Parks
Following the Hong Kong debut, Disney expanded the concept internationally.
A version called Frozen Kingdom opened at Tokyo DisneySea on June 6, 2024, as part of the park’s Fantasy Springs expansion.
A European version followed on March 29, 2026, at Disney Adventure World, the renamed second gate at Disneyland Paris.

Each version features a similar layout centered around Frozen Ever After, alongside Arendelle village areas with shops, restaurants, and character meet-and-greets.
The Paris land also includes the show A Celebration in Arendelle, performed on the fjord in front of Arendelle Castle.
Despite strong visitor demand, some guests have criticized the land for offering only one major attraction.
Disney Plans to Update Lands With Future Films
Disney has now confirmed that these lands will change as new Frozen films are released.
“Today, when you’re in World of Frozen, you’ll see Anna in her Queenly outfit from the end of Frozen II and you’ll see Elsa in her beautiful Snow Queen look, as that’s who they are now,” Disney said. “When a Frozen III or Frozen IV comes out, we will evolve that story. So the land will always be a living place that reflects Frozen today and wherever that story is.”

The strategy aligns with the upcoming release of Frozen 3, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters in November 2027. A fourth film is also currently in development, as is a short film slated for release in October.
Early information suggests Frozen 3 will feature Anna and Kristoff’s wedding and introduce a new member of Anna and Elsa’s family.
Disney has already begun teasing elements of the story. In March, a Disney+ Insider feature followed Frozen filmmaker Jennifer Lee and Frozen 3 co-director Trent Correy through World of Frozen.
During the video, Lee spoke with the character Anna about wedding plans.

“We hear there are big wedding plans happening. Are you excited?” Lee asked.
“Oh, yes! I’m so excited!” Anna said.
Correy also asked whether Anna was handling most of the planning.
Anna replied, “Olaf said he likes to be in charge of all the party planning in Arendelle, and he told us that he and Kristoff have been planning a really big surprise for the Snowflower Festival!”
Disney has not confirmed what specific updates may come to the parks.
