Disney Doubles Down on Woke California Event as Official Ticket Sale Dates Are Confirmed

Disney is not backing down, and the ticket sale announcement this week makes that crystal clear.

Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite is returning to Disneyland Park on June 16 and 18, 2026, and Disney just announced exactly when tickets go on sale. Magic Key holders get a limited pre-sale window on April 7 and 8, starting no earlier than 9 a.m. Pacific Time. General public tickets go on sale on April 9 at the same time. Whatever your feelings about the event, the dates are set, and Disney is moving forward without hesitation.

What the Disney Event Actually Is

Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite is a separately ticketed after-hours event running from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. with early entry available from 6 p.m. for ticket holders. Disney describes it as a family-friendly celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.

The entertainment lineup includes a fireworks show inspired by Walt Disney’s original park dedication, the Welcome Pride Cavalcade featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, live sing-along performances, two dance parties, country line dancing, and themed photo opportunities. Complimentary Disney PhotoPass downloads are included, and guests receive a commemorative event guide.

The food offerings they have previewed for this year include a Santa Maria-style tri-tip sandwich, butterscotch beignets, a rainbow cereal churro with rainbow dipping sauce, and jackfruit and mushroom-loaded fries for plant-based guests. The exclusive food component has become one of the more anticipated parts of every Disneyland After Dark event, and this year’s preview suggests Disney is putting genuine creative effort into the menu.

Where This Sits in the Bigger Picture

Pride Nite is part of a five-event Disneyland After Dark series that has been running through the first half of 2026. The lineup also includes Sweethearts Nite, the 70 Years of Favorites anniversary celebration, Disney Channel Nite, and Star Wars Nite. The company placed Pride Nite on the same calendar and gave it the same promotional treatment as every other event in the series.

That is a deliberate choice. They are not treating this as a quiet offering tucked away from the main calendar. It is the closing event of a series that began in January, and Disney has announced it with the same energy it brings to every other after-hours event.

How to Get Tickets For The Disney Event

Magic Key pre-sale opens April 7 and 8, no earlier than 9 a.m. Pacific Time. The general public sale opens on April 9 at the same time. Based on how quickly previous Disneyland After Dark events have sold out, particularly Sweethearts Nite, which has historically moved fastest, guests who want to attend should plan to be ready when the sale opens rather than assuming availability will hold through the day.

Disney is not asking anyone’s permission on this one. Tickets drop next week.
