Multiple Closures Hit Disneyland Paris, Including 6 Rides and Second Park

We spend a lot of time planning Disney trips around food, but we also spend a lot of time making sure the rides we want to ride are actually going to be open when we get there.

Because nothing derails a carefully planned park day faster than showing up to find your must-do attraction wrapped in construction walls. So when the June 2026 refurbishment schedule dropped for Disneyland Paris, we paid attention — and there are a few closures on that list that are going to affect a lot of guests who have not checked their calendars yet. But here is the thing.

The closure news is actually the least exciting part of what is happening at Disneyland Paris right now. Because on March 29, 2026, the resort is doing something it has not done since 2002 — opening an entirely new park. Same footprint, new name, new land, new promenade, new nighttime show, and fourteen new places to eat. We are going to get to all of it. But first, the closures, because some of you need to know this before you finalize your June plans.

The June 2026 Closures You Need to Know About

Here is the full confirmed refurbishment schedule for Disneyland Paris in June 2026, with per-attraction dates.

Space Mountain closes June 1 through June 5 — short window, relatively easy to plan around. Slinky Dog closes June 1 through June 26, which is most of the month. If Slinky Dog is on your list and you are going in June, you need to know that right now. Cars Road Trip closes June 8 through June 19. Dumbo closes June 8 through June 19 as well. Pirates of the Caribbean closes June 15 with no posted reopening date, which is the one we are watching most closely. No posted reopening date means no posted reopening date — it could be July, it could be longer. Orbitron closes June 22 through June 26.

The Slinky Dog and Pirates of the Caribbean closures are the two that will affect the most guests. If either of those is a priority, factor that into your timing. If your trip is already booked and overlaps with these windows, build your days around what is open rather than showing up expecting to pivot on the fly.

Now For the Big News — Disney Adventure World Opens This Month

Okay, closures noted. Now let us talk about what is actually happening at Disneyland Paris this month, because it is a lot.

On March 29, 2026, Walt Disney Studios Park — Disneyland Paris’s second gate, open since 2002 — closes that chapter permanently. It reopens the next day as Disney Adventure World, a completely reimagined park with a new identity, a new land, a new promenade, and fourteen new dining locations opening all at once. As Adam noted on X: “It’s March which means Disney Adventure World is officially opening this month!”

This is not a rebrand with a new sign out front. This is a real opening.

World of Frozen Is the Centerpiece and It Is Exclusively in Paris

The headline addition is World of Frozen, a fully immersive land built entirely around Frozen that exists nowhere else in the Disney parks system. Frozen Ever After is the anchor attraction, built specifically for this land rather than adapted from another park. Anna and Elsa are doing character meets inside the royal castle. A daytime show plays on Viking longships within the land. If you have been to EPCOT and ridden Frozen Ever After there, this is a different and more immersive version of that world entirely.

Opening at the same time is Adventure Way, the new promenade running through the heart of Disney Adventure World. Adventure Way has themed gardens, seasonal entertainment, Raiponce Tangled Spin themed to Tangled, a nighttime spectacular called “Disney Cascade of Lights” that is exclusive to this park, and — the part we have been thinking about since this was announced — fourteen new dining locations. Including the Regal View Restaurant and Lounge. We will be needing a full separate article just for that.

What Was Already There and Why You Should Care

Disney Adventure World opens with more than just its new additions. The existing lineup carries forward, and some of it is genuinely exclusive to Paris in ways that are undersold in the broader Disney conversation.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror runs three separate storylines here. You will not find that format anywhere else. Avengers Assemble: Flight Force pairs Iron Man and Captain Marvel together on a single coaster — replacing the Aerosmith version Walt Disney World guests know. Crush’s Coaster, themed to Finding Nemo, is a Paris exclusive that consistently draws the park’s longest lines. Cars ROAD TRIP takes you through Route 66 with Cruz and Sally before Cars-tastrophe Canyon and exists only here.

The shows are worth calling out too. Mickey and the Magician is one of the best live shows in any Disney park. TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure is the kind of production that makes you forget where you are for a few minutes. These are not filler attractions. They are headline experiences that happen to be available at a park a lot of Disney fans have never visited.

What Is Still Coming After March 29

Disney Adventure World is opening its first chapter, not its complete one. A Lion King land is already under construction on Adventure Bay, anchored by an attraction combining water-based thrills, next-generation Audio-Animatronic figures, and music from the 1994 film The Lion King. An Up-themed experience is also in development.

Guests visiting in 2026 are getting World of Frozen at its absolute freshest and a preview of a park that is going to keep expanding. That is a genuinely exciting position to visit from.

Whether This Changes Your Paris Plans

If you have a June trip booked, check your dates against the closure list above and adjust your expectations accordingly. The Slinky Dog and Pirates closures are the most likely to sting.

If you have been thinking about Disneyland Paris but have not booked, here is our honest take. The case for going in 2026 is stronger than it has been in years. World of Frozen is brand new and exclusive to Paris. Fourteen new dining locations are opening on Adventure Way. There is an exclusive nighttime show. The Disneyland Hotel has been reimagined as a five-star property right at the park entrance. Disney Hotel New York — The Art of Marvel is the only Marvel hotel in Disney’s entire worldwide portfolio. The resort has seven hotels across different price points, and Paris is forty-five minutes away by train from the city center.

We know which year we are booking for.

We will have full coverage of the Disney Adventure World opening as March 29 gets closer, including the food situation on Adventure Way, because fourteen dining locations is a lot and we are already making plans. Our full Disneyland Paris guide is on the site — check it before you book, adjust for the June closures if they affect you, and start thinking about what you are eating first.
