Disney World Issues Urgent Alert Affecting Hotel Guests Staying Through 2026
Visitors booked at one of Walt Disney World Resort’s most unique hotel properties could be waking up to construction noise for months. Here’s what Central Florida Disney Park guests need to know.
Treehouse Villas Entering Phased Closure

Walt Disney World Resort confirmed this month that the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will undergo a phased refurbishment stretching through mid-September 2026. Construction permits filed back in December 2025 name Land-Ron Inc. as the general contractor, with paperwork technically running through January 7, 2027. However, Disney has confirmed that the project should wrap up in mid-September 2026.
Rather than pulling the Treehouse Villas offline entirely, Walt Disney World Resort is working through individual units in rotation, keeping a reduced supply of rooms available for booking throughout the project. Guests holding existing reservations are not expected to face any changes to their stays as a result of the work.

Daytime construction noise is the most likely guest-facing disruption, consistent with Walt Disney World Resort’s standard approach of scheduling active work during hours when most visitors are at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or Disney Springs. Additionally, the resort’s tennis and basketball courts will close on March 23 as part of the project, with a June 2026 reopening currently scheduled.
Saratoga Springs Already Has One Refurbishment Underway
The Treehouse Villas news lands on top of an announcement made just weeks ago confirming that the Turf Club at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is also heading into a multi-phase closure this year, making Saratoga Springs one of the most actively refurbished properties on Walt Disney World Resort property in 2026.

The Turf Club Lounge closes first, going dark from early April through early August 2026. While it’s offline, the Turf Club Bar & Grill will continue operating with a pop-up bar and a limited menu inspired by the lounge. The Turf Club Patio will also close from early to mid-August 2026. Once the Patio and Lounge reopen, the Bar & Grill closes for its own refurbishment from mid-August through mid-September 2026.
Guests navigating either refurbishment are encouraged to bring questions to the resort’s Front Desk during their stay.
