Free Dining Is Back at Walt Disney World, but Only for Select Families

Walt Disney World Resort‘s Free Dining promotion returns Thursday, March 5, exclusively for Disney Visa Cardmembers during a limited one-week booking window.

The offer provides complimentary dining plans with Disney Resort hotel and theme park ticket packages for specific summer, fall, and winter dates—but only families with Disney Visa Cards can book during the March 5-11 early access period.

Disney mailed promotional details only to Disney Visa Cardmembers. The pamphlet describes March 5-11 as “early access,” suggesting Disney may expand availability to non-cardholders afterward, though no confirmation has been announced.

Eligible travel windows include:

  • June 28 to October 3
  • October 19 to October 31
  • December 6 to December 21

Guests must book Disney Resort hotel stays and theme park tickets together. The Free Dining plan tier depends on the hotel category.

Families without Disney Visa Cards can’t access the promotion during the March 5-11 window. Whether Walt Disney World Resort will extend the offer to all guests after early access ends remains unknown.

The credit card requirement creates a barrier—families must either already hold Disney Visa Cards or apply and receive approval before the March 5 booking window opens. New applicants may not receive cards in time for early access.

Disney Dining Plans typically cost $58.77-$116.25 per adult per day, depending on the plan type. The Free Dining offer eliminates those costs, potentially saving families hundreds to thousands on week-long vacations with multiple people.
