Disney Overhauls Park Security Screening in Latest Update
Disneyland Paris Resort is weeks away from unveiling a completely redesigned security checkpoint at Disney Village. The nine-month construction project that demolished and rebuilt the entrance screening area from the ground up is entering its final stages, with recent updates showing the structure nearly ready for guest use.
From Demolition to Near-Completion
Construction began in April 2025, when crews razed the original security screening area at Disney Village. By October, the replacement structure had a completed roof frame, but concrete flooring remained unfinished, and construction equipment dominated the worksite.

Recent photos reveal dramatic progress. X (formerly known as Twitter) account @DLPReport posted images on January 14 showing removed construction walls that expose painted surfaces and finished building sections. Decorative lanterns hanging from the structure’s overhang remain wrapped in protective plastic as final work continues.

Finishing Touches in Progress
DLP Works documented additional construction details on Facebook, noting crews are currently “focused around the structure, including the installation of the new floor, a large planter, and new gates.” The bag check building is structurally complete with most themed elements installed.

Part of the Larger Disney Village Transformation

The security checkpoint overhaul is one component of Disney Village’s extensive ongoing modernization. Multiple locations are undergoing renovations simultaneously, including the reconstruction of McDonald’s, the refurbishment of Annette’s diner, and the conversion of the Disney Store into Disney Wonders—a franchise-focused retail space.
Disneyland Paris Resort hasn’t announced when the new Disney Village security checkpoint will open.

At this point, the checkpoint has had a longer development cycle than some Disney sequels — but at least this one might actually work on opening day. 🎢😄
