Inaccessible Vacations: Disney Reduces Theme Park Ticket Discount for 2026

A new Disneyland Resort ticket discount has appeared at Costco, but this version appears to be far less generous than the deal many guests received previously. The package offers the opportunity to pick up a two-day Park Hopper ticket with Lightning Lane Multi Pass included.

Last week, the discounted Disneyland Resort tickets became available at select Costco locations nationwide. Theme park journalist Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin) shared an image of the bundle on X (formerly known as Twitter):

NEW: Costco has revealed its latest Disneyland ticket deal. The $389.99 2-day Park Hopper includes Lightning Lane Multi Pass and is valid starting Jan. 8, 2026. Ticket expires 13 days after first use or on June 12, 2026. Park reservations required.

Buyers can begin using the tickets in early January and must complete both theme park days before June 12 (the second ticket expires 13 days after the first is used). Disney Park Pass reservations are mandatory, but Park Hopping begins at 11:00 a.m.

A Discount, but Not as Strong as Last Time

The Costco price is definitely lower than the cost of purchasing the same ticket type directly from the Disneyland Resort website. The resort sells a two-day Park Hopper ticket for $415 for early January dates, and that price does not include Lightning Lane Multi Pass access. Costco’s package helps ease that burden, but the gap between the new offer and one from early 2025 is hard to ignore.

The earlier Costco package delivered more days, more perks, and more overall savings. From @ScottGustin:

FWIW, the previous Costco deal was a much better value. For $449.99, you got a 3-day Park Hopper, Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, and a $30 Disney Dining card.

Bigger Changes Ahead for Disneyland Pricing

The Walt Disney Company has announced plans to introduce dynamic ticket pricing at Disney’s domestic parks, similar to what is currently being tested at Disneyland Paris Resort. The upcoming system would adjust costs based on crowd forecasts, weather patterns, and other factors, adding yet another layer of unpredictability to vacation planning. However, Disney has not announced when the new pricing model will be introduced at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort.
