Mickey Mouse Character Removed From Disneyland Location, Guests Seek Alternatives
Mickey Mouse, one of the most recognizable faces in all of Disney history, is no longer greeting guests in his long-standing Disneyland Park location. Construction in Fantasyland has forced the removal of the popular meet-and-greet, leaving visitors searching for new ways to see the Big Cheese.
A Fan-Favorite Meet-and-Greet Comes to a Halt

For five years, Fantasyland Station at Disneyland Paris Resort has served as the home of a Mickey Mouse meet-and-greet. As the name suggests, this area was originally a stop for the Disneyland Railroad. However, in 2020, staffing shortages led to a change in operations. Instead of closing the station completely, Disney transformed it into a photo location where Mickey Mouse could meet guests as the steam train passed in the background.
Earlier this year, the entire area was surrounded by scaffolding as part of a large-scale refurbishment project. While some work has recently been finished, the Mouse who started it all has not returned to his original spot.
The Latest

On October 28, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @PixiedustDLP shared photos showing Fantasyland Station’s iconic clock tower once again visible above the construction barricades. Despite this progress, the social media update confirmed that the location’s Mickey Mouse meet-and-greet remains unavailable.
Scaffolding is down around the clock tower of Fantasyland Station. Meet Mickey Mouse in Disneyland Park is currently unavailable, and is expected to reopen in early 2026. A temporary meet & greet location has been installed in the STUDIO D pre-show area. 🚧 #DisneylandParis

A Temporary Move for Mickey Mouse

Fortunately, Disney Park guests still have a chance to meet Mickey elsewhere. Disneyland Paris Resort’s website lists a temporary location for the character inside the Studio D theater, which previously hosted “Disney Junior Live On Stage!” This stopgap solution allows fans to take photos and collect autographs with Mickey Mouse while construction continues in Fantasyland.
Disney PhotoPass is available for guests wanting to commemorate their visit, but it’s unclear how long this temporary setup will last. The European Disney park warns that “this Character Encounter may be changed, delayed or removed without prior notice.”
