Disneyland Paris Resort guests will soon notice a significant security screening upgrade in Disney Village, the European vacation destination’s shopping and dining district.
In April 2025, Disney Dining reported that Disneyland Paris Resort was building a new security screening area at Disney Village, the park’s shopping and dining district. This area, similar to Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort and Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort, is currently home to several dining spots, shops, and attractions. In addition to the new security improvements, other updates include the construction of a modern McDonald’s to replace the current fast-food restaurant in the area.
A Disneyland Paris Resort guest recently provided a closer look at the progress of the new security checkpoint, sharing a photo on X (formerly Twitter). The image from @DLPReport showed a new roof on the checkpoint, visible above the construction walls, with the Gaumont cinema in the background.

This guest also posted two aerial photos of the ongoing work, providing a broader view of the construction that is hidden behind ground-level barriers. While the roof and architectural supports for the security checkpoint have already been installed, the construction is still in its early stages, with materials and equipment scattered throughout the area.

New flooring and concrete have not yet been installed, leaving raw dirt in the construction area. The final steps for the new security checkpoint are yet to be completed, but progress is definitely being made.
Disneyland Paris Resort hasn’t said when the new security checkpoint will open at Disney Village. Disney Dining will continue to provide updates on this and other exciting changes happening at Disney parks around the globe.
