Luxury Hotel Guests Get Lost After Policy Change at Disneyland

One of Disneyland Resort’s most luxurious hotels, the Disneyland Hotel, is confusing guests with a temporary new entrance policy. As construction work continues at the property, the main entrance has been temporarily closed, requiring visitors to use a side entrance instead.

According to reports from WDWNT, guests arriving from the Downtown Disney shopping and dining district are immediately greeted by a large blue tarp blocking the central walkway to the lobby. Planters are placed along other pathways, and signage directs guests toward the new “Fantasy Tower Lobby.”

Once inside, Disneyland Resort guests find that the check-in area is still accessible, but a black curtain blocks the typical entrance near the small world Gifts & Sundries shop. The store itself remains open throughout the construction.

To access other amenities like The Coffee House, Goofy’s Kitchen, and the Villas at Disneyland Hotel, visitors must exit through Disney’s Fantasia Shop. The journey to the main pool area from the lobby is now significantly longer than before, with signs and barriers directing guests down a winding path. However, pool entrances from other parts of the Disney Resort hotel are unaffected by the construction.

Disney cast members have informed WDWNT that these operational changes will remain in place until at least mid-October 2025. However, Disneyland Resort has not officially confirmed this timeline. It’s unclear what exactly Disney plans to change about the main entrance to the Disneyland Hotel.

According to guest reports, a new “Fantasy Tower” sign has been installed above the construction walls, though it remains covered by a clear plastic tarp. It’s unclear whether there will be additional changes to this part of the Disneyland Hotel.
