Canadians Cancel Disney Vacations After Second ICE Spotting at Parks

Several Canadian families canceled their upcoming vacations to Disneyland Resort after rumors surfaced of a second reported sighting of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agents near the Southern California Disney parks. The rumors began circulating on social media on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Reports of agents in Anaheim first came last month, days after protests against ICE in Los Angeles. Allegedly, the ICE agents were seen in parking structures and near cast member entrances at Disneyland Resort. After the rumors went viral, Disneyland Resort quickly responded with a rare public statement confirming that ICE agents were not present on the property and that operations were continuing normally.

Despite Disney’s reassurance, some guests claim they have noticed a decline in the crowds at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney following the rumored ICE activity. In one report, some locals said that it “didn’t feel right” to enjoy a day at the Disney parks while other families were facing separation due to immigration enforcement.

On July 6, new reports surfaced on an ICE tracking app, claiming that ICE agents were staying at the Fairfield Anaheim Resort, just across the street from Disneyland Resort’s main entrance. Reddit user u/mpdt4321 posted this screenshot warning Southern California Disney Park guests about the supposed law enforcement activity in the area.

In the Reddit comments, several Disney fans voiced concerns about ICE’s impact on park attendance.

“It’s so slow at Disneyland right now, definitely think it’s because of this,” u/noworriesbby wrote. “Noticing less Latinos here than usual. (I am Latina).”

Several foreign tourists also commented about how the rumors affected their vacation plans.

“We’ve been wanting to do a Fall Disney trip, and this is really sad and scary to encounter,” said u/crashhearts. “Tough decision as a Canadian already, but I don’t think we will be visiting. This is unbelievable.”

“As a Canadian why would you be coming to the US at all right now?” u/anewaccount69420 asked. “Join that boycott.”

Disneyland Resort has yet to issue an official statement addressing the rumors about ICE agents at the Fairfield Anaheim Resort, and the claims remain unconfirmed.
