Woman at Disney World Forced To Change Low-Cut Shirt, “Is This Too Much?”
A Walt Disney World Resort guest recently shared her experience with the Central Florida theme park’s dress code.
Last month, TikTok user @indimariee shared a video documenting her experience at Magic Kingdom Park, where she was asked to change out of her low-cut crop top. In the video, she posed the question, “Is this too much for a little Disney day?” as she stood in front of Cinderella Castle wearing the original shirt.
@indimariee dress code is real #fyp
In the video, @indimariee showed herself after changing into a different black tank top, answering her own question with, “Well YES.”
Although Walt Disney World Resort’s dress code doesn’t specifically mention low-cut shirts or crop tops, it does prohibit “clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.” This vague wording leaves room for interpretation, and individual cast members are given the discretion to enforce the dress code as they see fit.
The Disney dress code has gained attention in recent years, especially after viral TikTok videos in 2022 encouraged guests to test the limits of the park’s attire rules. Back then, cast members often gave guests who violated the dress code complimentary shirts. However, as the trend grew, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort management cracked down on this practice. Now, guests who violate the dress code are either asked to leave the park or must purchase alternative clothing.
Walt Disney World Resort guests are encouraged to dress respectfully and in accordance with park guidelines to ensure a pleasant experience for all. If you’re ever unsure about your outfit, it’s a good idea to double-check the park’s dress code guidelines or bring a backup option to avoid any issues.
Should Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort resume giving free shirts to guests who violate the dress code? Disney Dining would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
No guest shouldn’t be given t-shirts ,they know full well what they are doing when going to the parks with Clothes deemed inappropriate
Entitled people do just what they please. I agree with the Disney’s dress code and having her put a T-shirt on.
I agree, she should’ve known the rules before going. To many people try to enforce their culture when visiting. What’s acceptable in their country doesn’t mean it’s acceptable at Disney. I just got back from doing just a resort day only visit. I’m a veteran who has been around the world and realize how different countries accept different ideas. But, while at the pool area at AKL, I saw a female adult with two toddlers in an inappropriate bathing suit. From the front it was okay. But of course, you could only imagine the view. Nothing but stings and straps. Don’t have a picture for obvious reasons. Use your imagination. It obviously was large enough and not covered.
No do not give free shirts to people who break the dress code rules on purpose to get the free shirts. Or get a plane blk tshirt for that purpose
No, it was not appropriate for a Disney park. No, guests who dress in inappropriate tops should not get free shirts; that ship has sailed.
We get it: it’s Florida, and it’s hot and humid. You can wear something that will keep you as comfortable as it’s possible to be (there are a lot of reasons I never go to Florida; this is one) without being too revealing for a Disney park.
Totally and completely inappropriate. I know a park greeter who had someone put on a tshirt over their bikini top, as they had just come from the water park. She was… uuummm… well endowed wearing the top and daisy Duke shirts over the bottoms. They had a tshirt but didn’t want to wear it. Seriously? MK is not a water park. The greeter had them put the tshirt on. The question is…. the woman was stopped at the front of the park…. what’s to stop her from removing the tshirt once inside the park? People feel so entitled these days.
Thank you Disney! They need to rack down on more of this. Too many girls and women wearing too low cut and revealing shirts/tops and bottoms. It has gotten out of hand.
The only free thing she should have received was a pass off the property . As male l wouldn’t want to look at her all day dressed that way.
Definitely inappropriate attire and she knew it. No free T-shirts either. Wear a top that covers not something that reveals everything. One misstep and everything will fall out. Tell her to put on a T-shirt or leave. Same thing with shorts. Too many females wear shorts that don’t even cover their bottoms which then hang out.
She’s ugly, I dont wanna see her dressed like that!
This is a case of humanity pushing the envelope just to test and see whether or not they can get away with something. Before you know it, it’s out of control. Disney was smart to take care of this immediately. You can wear that to a resort pool but when it comes to the parks, you need to change and dress appropriately. I’m reading the comments and they are nasty. Shame on you people for the things that you say.
How was this person not stopped at the Main entrance? Top is totally inappropriate. I am glad she in comfortable in her own skin but she should have taken into consideration the hundreds of other people walking around Disney World. Just because you think you look pretty does not always mean others will. NO FREE T-Shirts for you. She should have been asked to leave the park and not return for the day. I think Disney really needs to review and revamp their dress code for guests. I am all for a WALL OF SHAME for these people.
No, Disney shouldn’t give out free T-shirts. People know what’s appropriate and what isn’t. They just want to see what they can get away with. Everyone is hot down here, but they don’t dress half naked!! And while we’re talking about women, what about men who walk around with no shirts on, just because a man can do that doesn’t mean its ok to do it in the parks, and the same with men wearing their pants halfway down their buttocks, pull your pants up, for heaven’s sake!!
I agree and I wish the cast members were more consistent with enforcing the dress code. It is a family place and people should dress appropriately. No need for butt cheeks to be hanging out or showing off the majority of their breasts. And guys, there is absolutely no reason to show off your briefs or boxers, either. Pull your pants up to to your waist where they belong!
Good call Disney. Thanks for making the park family friendly and G rated like your movies 🍿
I read about this earlier in the week. Someone claimed it was a “sports bra”. After seeing this article it’s clear she isn’t wearing a sports bra! Lingerie isn’t appropriate, and that’s exactly what she was wearing.
