As Disneyland Resort prepares for its monumental 70th anniversary, its most famous resident is getting a fresh, modernized look. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their closest friends will debut all-new, modernized anniversary outfits as part of the Disneyland70 celebration.
A Celebration 70 Years in the Making
On Thursday, Disneyland Resort officially unveiled plans for its 70th-anniversary festivities, set to begin on May 16, 2025, ahead of the park’s July 17 birthday. The celebration will span well into summer 2026, offering guests an extended opportunity to enjoy limited-time entertainment, attraction updates, and anniversary-exclusive experiences.
The event, themed around the phrase “Celebrate Happy,” will introduce an all-new song of the same name, alongside the return of beloved nighttime spectaculars like “Paint the Night” and “Wondrous Journeys.” Disney California Adventure Park will debut a brand-new World of Color show, “World of Color Happiness!”, while Disneyland Park will host the colorful “Tapestry of Happiness” projection display on “it’s a small world.”
Among the many enhancements, characters from Coco (2017) will join “it’s a small world,” and Toy Story Midway Mania! will receive a special 70th-anniversary refresh. Iconic locations such as Sleeping Beauty Castle will also be adorned with commemorative decorations.
Mickey Mouse & Friends Get a Fresh Look
One of the standout features of Disneyland70 is the debut of reimagined costumes for Mickey Mouse and his classic companions. In addition to appearing in the new “Celebrate Happy Cavalcade” alongside rare favorites Duffy and ShellieMay, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip’ n’ Dale, Clarabelle Cow, and Max will showcase stylish new ensembles designed for the anniversary.

Guests will also have the chance to meet Mickey Mouse and friends in their updated attire throughout Disneyland Park, creating unforgettable photo opportunities during this historic celebration.
