Disney Character Drowns in Front of Theme Park Guests
A viral video from Disneyland Resort shows a beloved character in distress in front of countless Disney Park guests. Luckily, this “drowning” wasn’t as it initially seemed…
Disney Parks fans quickly took notice when TikTok user @k.inla shared this video of Grogu (known lovingly as Baby Yoda among Star Wars fans) spinning violently in the water near Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park. “Please help him,” the Disney Park guest wrote.

Thankfully, the Disney character in distress was just a lost toy. It appears that Grogu got sucked into some kind of underwater jet or filter system, potentially one used for the World of Color – One nighttime show. It’s unclear whether the toy was dropped into the water intentionally or mistakenly.
Nevertheless, Disney Parks fans loved the video. It amassed over 50,000 likes and comments.
“Baby yoda said: you spin me right round like a record baby,” @queen1ep1ayz joked.
“Seems to be having the time of his life tbh,” said @shill_matic. I think this was his life goal…Let him be.”
Of course, guests should never intentionally pollute waterways or other restricted Disney Park areas. However, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort know that accidents happen and have policies in place to recover lost personal items.
If one of your belongings ends up in an inaccessible area at the Disney parks, never try to retrieve it yourself. Notify the nearest Disney cast member, who can grab the item or file a report for the appropriate team to search for it. Sometimes, it can take days to recover lost belongings; be sure to file a report with Disney’s lost and found so they can notify you when your item is recovered.
