While plenty of fun roller coasters and classic dark rides abound at the Disney theme parks, shopping is a cornerstone of the overall experience. Disney offers guests a wide range of magical places to shop until they drop.

Magic Kingdom is an especially tempting place to drop some serious cash, with several storefronts and boutiques sprinkled across the park. From the moment guests enter Main Street, U.S.A., guests can browse from high-end jewelry, hats, shoes, and all kinds of savory and sweet treats.

For many, specific items like t-shirts, glassware, pins, and magnets are key, with Disney offering up these items in droves.

However, Disney has repeatedly discontinued the sale of fridge magnets, a staple of the theme parks.

According to multiple reports, Disney has eliminated fridge magnets from its stores at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Per Mickey Centralthere has been a noticeable absence of fridge magnets in stores.

Guests will still be able to find vinyl car magnets, but these items may not satisfy those looking to frame their magic vacation on their home refrigerator.

The removal of fridge magnets has not been explicitly stated by Disney, but guests have certainly started to notice the lack of magnets in stores.

While unconfirmed, it’s likely the absence of magnets is a result of fridges simply not coming equipped with magnetic surfaces in the first place.
