8 Things You’ll Love About The Biergarten Restaurant At Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World is home to hundreds of dining locations throughout the property that offer up everything from on the go snacks to fine dining experiences. With so many options to choose from, guests might be confused as to which dining experiences are the must dos. One of the best places in Walt Disney World for dining is Epcot’s World Showcase as it is home to eleven different pavilions which each celebrate a country from around the world. Each pavilion features at least one quick service dining option and one full service dining option, and one of the most popular choices to visit is the Germany Pavilion. Guests can feel as though they are strolling through a charming German town, shop in quaint stores, and enjoy a wonderful full service dining location that is as entertaining as it is delicious. The Biergarten Restaurant is located in the rear of the Germany Pavilion and is beloved by guests thanks to its delicious authentic German food, beautiful atmosphere, and amazing entertainment. Here are eight things that all guests will love about the Biergarten Restaurant.

1. The Atmosphere

While the theming of the Germany Pavilion in Epcot is wonderful, guests will truly feel transported to Germany the moment they enter into the Biergarten Restaurant. The interior is perpetually set at dusk and feels like a charming courtyard in a Bavarian town. Guests can enjoy wrought iron details, classic German architecture, the moon hovering in the distance, and charming street lights all positioned around a central stage. The atmosphere and ambiance truly makes guests feel as though they are in a small German village celebrating Oktoberfest!

2. Family Style Seating

The Biergarten Restaurant is unique in that guests who are dining there are seated at large picnic style tables. This means that smaller parties are going to be seated with other parties of guests which might start off awkward at times, but is always fun in the end once guests begin to talk to one another over the delicious food and drinks. The Biergarten Restaurant is the only restaurant in Walt Disney World to seat guests in this manner, and it is a great experience to try!

3. Entertainment

Many guests love to enjoy lunch or dinner at the Biergarten Restaurant thanks to its wonderful entertainment. During each meal time, the curtain on the central stage rises and an oompah band performs for guests. Traditional music is played as well as special numbers that feature large horns or bells. Guests are invited up to dance and even partake in traditional German chants that are popular during Oktoberfest. The entertainment is what makes the Biergarten Restaurant so amazing to enjoy!

4. German Servers

Another great thing about the Biergarten Restaurant is that every server who works there is originally from Germany! The servers love to tell guests about their beautiful country and share some interesting history and cultural facts. Having servers who can teach guests phrases in German, share information about the culture and food, and in general share their love of their home is part of what makes every meal at the restaurant so special.

5. Beer

No meal at the Biergarten Restaurant would be complete without beer! Luckily the restaurant is well stocked and offers guests several choices in several size options. Guests can choose between a liter and a half liter and during the entertainment, they are taught how to properly toast with their large steins. Guests who are looking to enjoy a beer can choose from the Schofferhofer Hefeweizen, Warsteiner Dunkel, Schofferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen, or the Altenmunster Oktoberfest.

6. Delicious Buffet

While the ambiance, entertainment, and drinks at the Biergarten Restaurant are great, it is the food that really brings the experience to life. The food at the restaurant is served via an all you can eat buffet that guests are welcome to return to time and time again. Guests can fill up their plates with delicious traditional German options such as Potato Salad, Wurst Salad, Pretzel Rolls, Pork Schnitzel, Spatzle, German Meat Loaf, and much more.

7. Desserts

The hardest part about enjoying lunch or dinner at the Biergarten Restaurant is making sure to leave enough room for dessert! Dessert is also served buffet style and guests are welcome to try as many items as they would like. Some of the most delicious dessert offerings include Black Forest Cake, Apple Strudel, Cheesecake, and Rote Grutze. Guests will be glad that they saved room for dessert when they see these mouthwatering options!

8. Hidden Mickey

Guests who love to spot Hidden Mickeys can also locate one while enjoying their meals. Once the curtain on the stage opens and the entertainment begins, guests should look at the backdrop which displays a snow covered mountain range. In a small valley between two of the mountains, guests can spot a Hidden Mickey in profile formed by the snow and shadows around it. Guests might have to get a little close to the stage to spot this Hidden Mickey, but it’s a great one to find!
